Kier definitely won this round - even though he didn't technically beat the game, he did kill the ender dragon and the rules say that he wins if he kills the ender dragon.

Compass is kind of easy, I think you should use maps with a marker at your location (kind of like a radar) so the hunters would know you're near them but wouldn't know exactly where you are. You can do such that they will always have the map or make it such that you can get map by trading with wandering trader or cartographer villager for 5 emeralds to make it more difficult
