I wanted Belichick here, but hearing now that McDoofus and Patricia were part of the package I'm glad it didn't work out.

So do the same shii that hasn’t worked since Brady left and bring it to another organization? HARD pass
  • @mattcarberry368
Bill can't build a roster, he can't build a coaching staff (Matt Patricia OC anyone?), he still valued special teams gunners and guards more than playmaking talent Bill Belichick trying to rebuild "The Patriot Way" without Tom Brady was the equivalent of Matt Patricia in Detroit
  • @jaalsburg
As a Lions fan, Belichick doesn't teach how to be a general but how to be a dictator.
  • Bill is a losing coach both before and after Brady. Brady went on to win after leaving Bill. The truth is revealed. He should have just retired and left the question unanswered.

One of oldest quotes about leadership echoes one of leadership core tenets: "Good leaders create other leaders" - Tom Peters It's part of the definition.

Finally, people can sorta admitt hes a prick.. He has the maniacal, dictator type attitude. Something that used to fly in college.. and helps produce people like Urban Meyer.. something we dont need/want and is illustrated by his inability to find a job.

McDaniels is still one of the best offensive co ordinates in the league

They all had one thing in common: they no longer had TB 12.
  • Good point made about how not to be early doors as a coach and what leeway you get with more success - hadn't thought of that / nor did Josh/Joe/Matt etc partly on them to have worked it out and partly on Bill. He's a great coach there's no question of that.
  • You don't hire a head coach that is spinning towards being an octogenarian if you are seeking stability. When you hire a head coach, you are thinking/hoping that it is a 10-15 year choice.

Chris Simms stepped all over Mike's answer.

Belichick is a sous chef and a good quarterback is his flame. With the right flame, he's a damn good chef. With the wrong flame, people begin to question his product and his ingredients.
