A new exhibition offers a glimpse into the captivating world of Alberta Sturges Montagu, the 9th Countess of Sandwich, and an American Heiress from the renowned era known as The Gilded Age.
Curated by Mappertonās very own American Viscountess, Julie Montagu, the "American Heiress" collection is comprised of more than 10,000 previously unseen letters exchanged between Alberta (Sturges) Montagu and her family, as well as the peerage at large.
Dating from 1888 to 1951, these letters constitute the largest unpublished private collection of correspondence from the period. They offer a remarkable glimpse into the life of a "dollar bride" during the Gilded Age, shedding light on both triumphs and struggles.
The exhibition takes innovation to the next level by introducing Alberta AI, a ground-breaking creation that brings her story to life like never before.

If I may be so bold to say, the boys and Luke probably did the shoot primarily for Julie. She just lit up when the magazine came. I imagine the writer and photographers are very happy when they can delight their subjects. The shoot went marvelously and the article was spot on. The boys are ridiculously handsome. My favorite two shots of Julie and Luke were the one with the horses and pig, and the one by the fountain.

It is interesting to see how Luke is just a little cautious with the interview and we forget that when you now see how relaxed he is now in front of the camera.

First thing tomorrow, a trip to the local pharmacy to pick up a copy of "Hello" magazine. I don't usually buy magazines, but 13 pages of you both and Mapperton, will be worth it! Lovely that Luke was given recognition, but I think the interviewer needed to watch your video's to see just how hard you work Julie, and to see the vast input you have given to really put Mapperton on the Map globally!
