Takumi driving straight home after winning is one of the funniest moments in this show for me lol

The pairing of Eurobeat and Initial D is simply one of the best scorings for a tv show/movie ever. Initial D would not have half the energy it does without eurobeat and eurobeat would be extremely unknown if it wasn't for Initial D. There is no comparison the the chilling organ that creeps into the battle between Kesuke and the Foot/Hand (cant remember) as they approach the turnaround point and both go for the drift instead of letting the other go first. The music is so integral to the energy and hype of this show, goddamnit its too good.

Nakazato might be my favorite race in Initial D. There was no pre-battle drama, no outside threats, genuinely just a dude who wanted to pit his GT-R against Takumi's 86. When he loses, he isn't butthurt, he isn't moody, he isn't whiny; he genuinely is like "damn that kid really is an incredible driver". He flat out concedes that Takumi is just... better than him.

Its been more than 20 years since this show first showed, it still gives me smile and chills watching these scenes. Felt like a kid again

I will say the music that the Initial D Legend has is still pretty good. But when you listen to the classic Eurobeat it's just amazing seeing the cars battle each other downhill while you're bopping your head up and down to the music. Eurobeat just makes the anime 10x better watching and listening to.
