HBO had me at birds. Cancelled my Netflix as soon as I found out they don’t have the birds.
  • @NakeyJakey
i like the part where eddy is my dad :)
  • Not only are Hulu ads so loud, they’re also SO uncomfortable. It’s like every advertisement that Disney can’t put on their family friendly services. I was watching Hulu with my mom and we got FOUR ads about pubic hair in a ROW

I just want a shuffle button so that when I’m watching a show for the millionth time I don’t have to try and choose an episode
  • I paid $9.99 for no ads on CBS All Access. Every time I paused an episode of the one show they have on their platform, the video player would minimize to the bottom corner of the screen to reveal ads for clothing brands. Really toasted my pancakes.

One thing I can't stand about Netflix is that every category labeled "trending, popular, critically acclaimed ", are all Netflix originals. Give me some variety when I'm searching for something to watch. I'm not knocking Netflix originals, I love a lot of them. But stop telling me that the top 25 spots of "most popular movies and shows" are made by Netflix, in every category

My favorite part of streaming services is the part where intellectual property exists, so instead of content being available on all the places and they compete for who can show it all for the cheapest price, they get to have mini-monopolies and make you pay for multiple services. Streaming was good when Netflix was the only one BECAUSE they were the only one. They've done a good job pivoting to making originals, and monopoly control isn't the answer, but now we get all the inconvenience of competing monopolies and none of the advantages the one-stop shop that was Netflix used to provide

Lol Disney+ always makes me laugh when I think about it. I used to work for Pearson (the textbook company), and while I was working there we got a new CEO who was a Disney executive before he joined the company. One of the first major projects I worked on when I got a new job in the tech side of the marketing department (a little while after he joined as CEO) was Pearson+, a textbook subscription service. Always made me chuckle, like "okay guys you're never gonna believe what my idea is"

The biggest problem with Disney Plus is that, on the surface you’re amazed at the amount of content they had right from the start, but when you actually looked at that content, you realized that you had already seen 90% of it

The thing that prime does where when the show is paused, you can see the actors names on screen, music etc. Is pretty cool too
  • @paxtonchavez
kinda sad you didn't mention being able to get the names of the actors currently on screen or all who are in the episode for amazon prime, saves me a lot of googling
  • @jacobcarroll3729
It’s crazy how much all of this has changed just in the last 2.5 years. Would love to see an update.
  • @krispykreme5678
The best streaming service is which ever one has the cat in the hat movie.
  • @iamsirpablo
HBO max should add the critically acclaimed comedy The Bee Movie so they can say they got the birds and the bees
  • @consentclub8431
We went from spending money on a dozen different cable channels to spending money on a dozen different streaming services 🙃
  • @blankb.2277
I like Prime because it has all the shows I watched on Netflix and loved when I was in middle school, such as Psych, Murder She Wrote, House MD, and Royal Pains. It's just all the shows I'm nostalgic for.
  • I like how Netflix asks me if I’m alive sometimes which means I can fall asleep while watching. Hulu just just goes crazy and autoplays through shows you weren’t even watching. You fall asleep and next thing you know you open one eye... BOOM young Sheldon
  • @echon6430
“So it’s more likely that your favorite show will be canceled early on Netflix than on HBO” Laughs in Infinity Train
  • I think he actually convinced all the streaming services because a lot of these problems are completely fixed across the board
