  • I learned this technique from you/Beckman and someone called me “heavy handed”. But it absolutely works on my Mexican Street Dog who thinks he owns the street. He has been rehomed 4 times because no one can control him..,.except me…using Beckman’s techniques. It just works. Thanks for another great video!
  • Prince”I’m mean you’re cute and we have fun but no you can’t be my girl” 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
  • @lauretta6699
I was waiting for Joel’s famous line “I’ll do this all day” and I was wasn’t disappointed! Came in at the end 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻

The cool thing was that Prince was like "this is my kinda girl" and never had to give her corrections because she's great, socially. He was having a blast with her. 😂 I watched my sister's female, high energy husky for a month and I ran with her wrestled with her and wore her out. From that time forward I was her favorite person in the world because she didn't have dogs or people that have her an outlet

I have a Shikoku an independent, high prey drive, primal dog. He’s 7 months and does all these things the husky does. I’m on top of him with all these methods even tho it’s hard, but like you always say “I can do this all day” . I’m teaching my girlfriend to be consistent with everything like myself and soon he will the best boy

These techniques (that I learned from watching your videos) are the only things that have worked with a dominant German Shepherd I found dumped at a local park. She actually could have starred in this video!! She’s come a LONG way but we still have work to do. THANK YOU for all you do! I’m SO glad I discovered your channel! GSDs are my favorite breed and I’m determined to help/keep her. I will not abandon her like her previous owners did. She stayed at the park for 2-3 days waiting for them to come back to get her. :(

I have an uncropped Doberman and I got most of my training from your channel. Someone said the way my dobie behaves reminds them of yours at the dog park today and I said I got everything I knew from you! Thank you bro.

With this type of dogs it is much easier to fix everything before they are 7 month old. And it is important to find/create a company of dogs and owners who accept rough play. No dog parks with these dogs. Btw that dog is great

I really enjoy following you. You help us to gain confidence in owning a new pet companion. Thank you for your guidance.

Good Joel trainings! Dominating space is an excellent way to assert your status: 'get out of my way" versus moving around them. Move their butts along by closely following them. It's a '"psyching the dog out' approach. It might feel silly, but these behaviours are so meaningful to the dog it can radically change their behaviour. These behaviours have really increased my authority with my Cane Corso and psychopath Boxer.

Hey Joel great video. I do really enjoy the longer format videos so look forward to seeing some of those but these are great too
  • @UmbreonLuv1
I'd love to see how you deal with dogs that are reactive to other animals (say cats, birds, other pets, etc.) and how you work with that
  • @kjab87
This is super helpful! Our 10-month-old Samoyed is very athletic, crazy fast, mischievous, and independent. Thank goodness he still wants to please, so that's a major plus. Getting out his quick-twitch needs is really the key. Thank you for breaking it down!
  • @watchmoivies123
Gosh, I don’t see a lot of husky in her, but I do see a little Belgian Tavern
  • @rptrick79
Beckman doesn't stick to his Sunday schedule of dog training videos! 0:15 - Blonde Husky stares down Prince through fence 0:27 - Joel releases the Kraken 0:32- Kraken and Husky dance in circles to decide who is more submissive. (Not dominant, that's not a word). 0:34- Prince places his foot atop Huskies head for the choke hold but Husky slides out from underneath to not lose the match so quickly 0:48 - Husky chases Prince around curved fence and he uses this opportunity knowing he's out camera angle to take a cheap shot and sweep the leg to make her fall 1:29 - Husky taunting Prince around the pasture to provoke him 1:30 - Prince takes off because he's scared and Husky says "not so.fast big boy" 1:37 - Husky jumps on Prince and says let's do this pointy eared Dog 1:59 - Husky marks to say "I own this pasture" 2:12 - Prince, being the pee connoisseur that he is can't resist but go indulge 5:05- Joel calls Husky and she comes then tries to be like Jett. Joel grabs her so Prince can catch her 7:07 - Joel puts a German shepherd in Time out for acting Jerky 8:23 - Joel flys across driveway to save Prince and whiffs 8:59 - Joel grabs Husky with his hood on as to scare the dog like a Homeless person at the beach on a play ground
  • I’m a firm but fair leader thanks to you, some dogs the treats only method works, but if you have a breed like a husky, you have to prove that you’re strong, tough and they should have a healthy respect. I’m not advocating for hitting, kicking or beating a dog.. my husky malamute knows if I shout “enough”, he has to stop whatever he’s doing or he will have a correction (collar grab, made to sit, focus on me and maybe a time out if I need time to self regulate to not make things worse).
  • @OffGridDogs
My Pyr “accidentally” punched me in the head when we were wrestling. I thought I was going to lose consciousness.
  • @tinkerinWstuff
The grab and stare down shown here is the only thing that works with my GSD and gets his brain to settle
