I love Alan, though he has blemished the history of QUO in this interview by saying they became QUO in 1962 after a few name changes. Whereas they became STATUS QUO in August 1967. They were The Scorpions, The Spectres, Traffic Jam & The Status Quo before 1967. They dropped 'The' from their name when Rick Parfitt joined in 1967. RIP- Alan Lancaster, my favourite QUO member from my favourite Band, STATUS QUO.
