About freezing when you exit the depths, because Nintendo wanted to save RAM on TOTK, the depths is only loaded when you enter a chasm, where it quickly loads the depths before you notice, however, if for some reason it's taking a long time to load/unload the depths, you still probably wouldn't want to see the depths load in and break the immersion. So instead, Nintendo made it so it will freeze the game for a few seconds. It still kind of breaks the immersion, but looks much more polished than seeing the depths load in.

Oh my gosh I have beat this game and done so much and never followed those Cuckoos, and to see that hideaway was just mind blowing to me, the replayability this game has is insane.
