Reading back the feedback, I completely agree! I need some work to do when I interview someone I’m a fan of! I was slipping in and out of my role as an interviewer and my personal life. Thank you so much for the feedback, guys! It means the world that you guys watch! I’ll be better day by day ❤️

50:07 This was such an awkward, forced moment that encapsulated George’s interview style in this pod. Peterson was pouring his heart out over his wife’s condition and instead of listening with grace, attentively and with compassion, George shoehorned a question about how a man can get to heaven. It was such a jarring moment and occurred to greater or lesser degrees throughout the podcast. I’m a big fan of George and am a Christian myself, but he has a long way to go as an interviewer. Peterson was subtly hinting to George he needs to humble himself and interview from a position of ignorance rather than constantly trying to teach. It’s difficult because George obviously has a lot of wisdom he wants to get out, but when you’re sitting in front of one of the smartest men on the podcast circuit, it’s wiser to play the part of the fool so you may gain wisdom.

Can we just appreciate the quality of guests George has had on recently? You’re killing it man!
  • @kalamachung1493
43:30 George said “I had to humble myself to be the correct man.” …Sounded like past tense… JP says “How’s that going?” …Subtly reminding him that it’s not something you do once. It’s a continuous process. We all have to humble ourselves daily and maintain a heart of repentance!

If cliff and Jordan had a conversation that would be magnificent!!!
  • George left impaulsive and his podcast is now pulling more views than impaulsive. Congrats man!
  • @BenPatrik
George: “does it ever get daunting, reflecting that much?” Jordan: REFLECTS
  • @svantenordstrom
She's asking the right questions. Because she doesn't have any "smart" questions prepared AND she's actually listening.
  • @druc7279
I will say, as a Christian, the constant baiting and leading into questions on Christ here is quite annoying. You can tell George wants nothing other than JP to agree with his theological views publicly. Kudos to Dr. Peterson for being so calm and patient like a father with his child. A beautiful thing to witness. I hope George starts to humble himself a bit, I’m starting to see the shades of someone who is not thinking critically but rather who is an ideologue spouting the team creed.
  • @TNnike24
Seems like there were instances where you are trying to impress JP, conversationally & and philosophically, rather than simply having an easy dialogue with him.
  • @ricasso777
Jordan Peterson was psychoanalyzing George the entire interview.
  • @somiishaw2572
24:31 the way he asked her about her question with a smile, his expression looks so fatherly i miss my father
  • @Blue8474
Jordan is in my opinion one of the greatest minds in modern day times. Yet you can clearly see his humility! George pretends like he’s humble but he couldn’t even stop his rambling and truly listen.

I'm going to be honest, George. Your fiancé was a better interviewer than you here. She didn't near-constantly speak about herself, and her connection with God, etc. She was just naturally curios. Her questions were actually simple and understandable, as opposed to meandering thoughts about random bible quotes and Christian-isms that go on until Peterson interrupts you with an actual point, because he can tell that you're losing the thread. Peterson is more careful with the weight of all these religious terms, and you're not. Your definitions of these words are way too sloppy in comparison, and so you can't afford to stay up there in religious language land constantly. You came down to earth one time in this video, and Peterson noticed and complimented that, it was the least foolish thing you said. About your fiancé's cross. That was real and true. You stopped talking as if you know God, and spoke as if you know people. That was good. Do that more. Bless you, George. You will go on well.
  • @elenasimran
When JP stopped and checked if the woman had a question it made me smile. She was interrupted but he reminded her that he had noticed and it’s such a beautifully precise way of making someone feel seen and heard. 24:27
  • @Riverbrigham
Thank you, Jordan for your patience in this interview!
  • How George says “vulnerable, vulnerable. It’s time for me to get vulnerable,” holds first place as #1 cringest things I’ve heard on a podcast. I almost feel like he was waiting for Jordan Peterson to say, “oh George! You’re wise beyond your years!” Nothing gets past JP. He smokes out fakeness and hypocrisy. He is a true gentleman and a perfect Canadian asshole. One of the most lovable humans alive.
  • George is always trying to tell people what he thinks and believes. Far more than being curious and asking questions. Thats what Jordan was trying to tell him i think.
  • I enjoyed the interview, but I wish George would have allowed Jordan to finish his thought process before interrupting, Some areas felt like George asked questions not out of genuine curiosity but to lead Jordan so that he validated his beliefs. I love how George's wife is just pure and truthful in her question, in the spirit of humility and a genuine desire to be educated. (This is just constructive criticism and I hope I am not rude.)
  • It’s so interesting when people interrupt others who are speaking to finish their sentences and it’s usually never at all where they were going. Jordan is so brilliant, it’s hard to hear him constantly getting interrupted or the conversation is directed back to personal stories. But my goodness, Jordan is so patient and such a role model. He is so cool, calm and collected no matter what.
