The mother of a pregnant librarian who was shot and killed in a shootout with bikers following a road rage incident in Florida told Inside Edition she’s heartbroken that no one has been charged in her daughter’s death. The incident on that late November day that led to the expectant mother’s death began when police said Sara Morales intentionally bumped into a biker with her car. She then called 911, telling the operator that three men on motorcycles were chasing her.

She hit the biker intentionally, left the scene of an accident, then pulled out a gun to intimidate the biker, all while being a parent AND pregnant. This is a tragic story that had multiple chances to be de escalated, from all involved.

Describing her "Pregnant" and "A Librarian" makes her seem innocent and "Biker" as the bad guy. She lost control of her emotions and paid the price.
  • Why would you go back outside after you’ve been followed home, that’s insane !

You can't tell someone "leave me alone" after assaulting them with your vehicle, then assault them with a gun to try and fix it. This lady was dangerous

Never assume that pointing a gun at someone will make the situation better, dont point your gun at who you dont intend to kill. Almost everyone there is to blame for her death including her.

Her medical report stated there was no pregnancy found at the time of autopsy, her mother was the one claiming she was 5 months pregnant.

Moral of the story: never intentionally hit other drivers and definitely, never bring out a gun to make a point.

You're not supposed to hit and run, but following the person that just hit you home to get the insurance information can be deadly. Sucks for both people.
  • never do stupid or dangerous stuff on the road, just because someone is being rude to you doesn’t mean you should engage with them. no argument is worth your life

None of this would have happened if she just handled the situation like an adult and not a irresponsible teenager. Now her daughter is left to deal with that pain and trauma of losing her mother in such an unnecessary manner.

This lady couldn’t control her emotions long enough to think about her own child and realize that this was a stupid decision
  • The woman escalated it. She should’ve went inside and locked the door. If they broke in, that’s when you hit them with a surprise other then that, she made a fatal mistake. It’s sad all around.

You guys sure know how to make the criminal the victim
  • @TheWtfnonamez
So she did a hit-and-run, and when the victims followed her, she pulled a gun on them? She certainly seems like she was the author of her own demise

Amazing how different news reports change the facts. This actually happened several months ago. Simply being a pregnant female and a librarian doesn't give you the right to intentionally hit a motorcycle and then point a gun at the driver. Yes, he probably shouldn't have followed her home but then again she went inside to retrieve her gun and then came back out pointing it at him. At the moment she went inside she was no longer in danger. She should have locked her door and called 911. When she came back outside with the gun she became the aggressor.

Crazy how situations can easily escalate to THIS level!..alarming and heart breaking
  • She wasn’t pregnant. The Autopsy said she wasn’t pregnant. She also hit the bike first, fled the scene, then pulled her gun first.

This is so sad and I wanted to be on the mother’s side. But I just can’t after the whole video. She did everything wrong. How could she be so brazen and confident when she so clearly brought the situation upon herself? When she was on 911 talking it reminded me of some people I know who blame everything on everyone else.
