[history]
The year after the Nagaoka air raid on August 1, 1954, the Nagaoka citizens rose to reconstruction, holding the "Nagaoka Revival Festival" on August 1, the fireworks display revived in 1954 and celebrated 70 years this year It was.
Looking back on the history of "Nagaoka Fireworks", the thoughts of "memorials", "reconstruction", "prayers for peace" that the predecessors have connected have been born.
The strong feelings put in Nagaoka fireworks have not changed even after 70 years, and are well handed down among us living now.

  • Let’s me honest Japan got the greatest firework shows in the world
  • to everyone reading this, hope you have an amazing year. we all faced our challenges for 2 years and we’ve pushed through it. if we can do that, do it once more. 2021 wasn’t the easiest year for me as it was for all of you. we had lockdowns and having cases rise. honestly, to me it wasn’t just Covid that made the year hard. I lost one of my closest friends due to suicide, and thinking about them actually give me more encouragement to push through the pain I’m experiencing. I want you guys to push through and take the time to thank anyone who’s supported u through hard times! Have a happy new year ♥️
  • All love to the people who celebrate the 4th alone, don't have funds, or your plans never went as planned... I love you have a great 4th of July
  • It's so dissapointing that we won't be seeing any thing like these this year because of Coronavirus
  • Now why can’t America do something like this? This is amazing.🎊🤗
  • Watching this with my mom saved our New Years, ありがとございます!
  • Konichiwa everyone I'm a harf Canadian living in Nagaoka. I'm so HAPPY that everyone loves this fireworks!! But I'm sure that more than harf of every one doesn't know tne importance of this fireworks for our town. There was hundreds of bombs dropped on the day we hold the summer firework festival. And we lost lots of our members of the town. But right after the atack,we stood up and show everyone that we'll fight for the town and the people we love In 2003〜2004,the town was covered with water and a big earthquake hit the town.Again a lot of lives were stolen by that. But we stood up for them. Our town,Nagaoka came back from alot of difficultys , but like the Phoenix,we stood up.We send the fireworks to the people who we love and watching us from above.I think it's a good story and I hope alot of people understand the story of Nagaoka.Sorry for the long writing and Sorry if I have spelling mistakes.
  • This is so incredibly breathtaking, It's hard to put into words. It amazes me that we are capable of creating something so vividly beautiful. It makes the entire sky sparkle. If humanity could leave behind one thing after we're gone, I think I would want it to be fireworks.
