There was a guy who played fallout 76 for 8-10hs a day during the first weeks, leaving ammo and supplies for new players in some key locations... Bethesda banned him, arguing that he was online for far too long every day... The only dude on earth that was enjoying that shit show of a game got wacked :(

Getting banned by Sony because your real name is offensive to them and their consumers? I feel like that could've been pushed pretty far. lol I think we learned a bit about our friendly neighborhood entertainment corporation. I once got banned in a game because I lived in an "unusual location" and the game thought I was using a VNP because at that time, I was drafted to Sudan💀

One stupid story: I installed and played my first rounds on titanfall 2's northstar Client. I played vanilla attrition aka normal pvp. After some time and destroying the enemy team so hard with dying only 3 times in a 24 killstreak i was banned without reason or explanation. The server rules said for New players, returning players(me) and veterans wanting to have fun. I still dont get why i was banned.

The last few are valid reasons. Threatening to troll and using aimbot on alt accounts are extremely reasonable cases of bans.

My only "ban" for a game, wasn't banned from the game but from the steam forum. I've played a LOT of Rimworld and got pretty good in the modding scene. Mainly fixing other peoples SHIT. Someone asked for help with their game, it wasn't loading. I asked about mods, he said he didn't have any. I asked about any errors after the game loaded, he pasted some into the posts, I told him the error he was getting was due to mods. He swears he doesn't have mods. Still nice and polite, I tell him there's no possible way he's getting the error he's listed without having mods. 20 posts go by and I'm offering different solutions(completely uninstalling/deleting everything etc) and he either isn't doing them, is utterly stupid, or is trolling. I finally lose it and tell him, exact words "It's no wonder nobody else has offered you any help. You're either willfully ignorant, lying, or trolling. I'm done." And yeah only one other person had offered any advice, same shit I had been saying. Was permanently banned from the steam rimworld forums for hate speech and trolling.......... Yeah go figure. The post only got a few more replies and they all said the same thing and he kept saying it wasn't working. I don't know WTF was wrong with the dude.

If you ever make another one of these, my dad was randomizing his name for his Xbox account when he saw the words, "BushyDonut." He chose it as his nickname to later get banned from his name. If only Microsoft knew that was basically their name given to him.

This reminds me of a time I got banned from an online amiibo tournament. Basically the group had 2 different rule sets for different types of tournaments and I saw only one. I never knew about the other one since it was my first tournament with that group. I unknowingly had the wrong 1 and they banned me so I explained the issue. They still didn’t let me back in
