What really made this movie great was the claustrophobia aspect of it.
The monsters were scary, but the scene when the blonde woman got stuck made me feel more uncomfortable than anything else in a movie. -
I love everything about this movie. The horror is so real. The emotional connection between the women isn’t corny. It’s one of my all time faves.

One of the best horror films of the last 15 years. When you consider the people who have died while exploring caves in the past decade, the claustrophobic scenario of this film alone is terrifying. Add to it the cave creatures, and you have a virtually inescapable sense of doom. David Julyan's soundtrack is a masterpiece of tension, suspense, and human emotion, which greatly enhances the film's feeling of terror and hopelessness.

I won't watch this film ever again. The reason being, it scared the crap out of me. I'm a horror film fan and no horror film has ever reached the level of fear I experienced with this film.
I won't watch the Descent 2 either. I just don't want to experience that fear ever again.
A combination of claustrophobia, being lost in the dark with creatures that will kill and eat you. NO THANKS. -
This was a good Falmer movie.
They didn't knew they were caving in Dwemer Ruins under Skyrim. -
if your a fan of horror movies and havent seen this you need to, classic horror movie right here and one of the bests from the 2000s when horror movies started to go downhill

This movie has so many great moments. The best are the worst, emotionally. We can rally behind and admire Juno's unyielding fight to protect the very women she endangers. And therefore understand her epic mistake in her solitary fight for survival, even if we can't do so with her lack of action afterwards.

This movie was terrifying I love how they were all sweet and innocent and went right into f**** survival mode! Extremely underrated and what a great cast.
