Manchester United waited 26 years to finally get their hands on the Premier League title, but they have never looked back since.

Watch how Alex Ferguson went through the rough process of building and rebuilding a struggling United team in the late 80's which managed to dominate English Football for years to come until they achieved a historic treble in 1999.

I was born in '76. Alex came in '86 and I was ten. For the next 26 years of my life, me and Man U were consistently linked in my memories. I remember so much because Man U were good then. The years highlighted in this brilliant video I remember as me growing up from a boy, to teenager, to an adult. Maybe that is why it is so vivid. I remember all the big games, where I was, what I was doing and at what point in my life I was at. I don't care that Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool are now the dominant forces (although Man U have just beaten leaders Arsenal 3 - 1, 4th September 2022) so hopefully Eric "Gimme" Ten Hag can bring back some stability and hope. Things change, as they always do in life. I was just glad I lived through this era, as all fans would. My Dad, who left us in Feb 2020 (thankfully, pre-covid nonsense) was always the 1st one to back Fergie during any so called "crisis". How Fergie, even at the start, was considered in "crisis" is beyond me. Any real fan could see what he was doing and the improvement. The man was a genius and these people come around, but, once in a generation. I remember watching on the Saturday 1995 when Alan Hansen said his quote, "You win nothing with kids!". Apparently, Fergie posted that on the home changing room and anywhere the players would see it. They said it was one of the biggest motivating factors in the 1st Double. I always meant to send Alan a bottle of whiskey that year :)

That 1999 Champions League final was legendary.

I thought Jose's Porto was a fairy tale, imagine beating Real Madrid in continental final with Aberdeen 😱 and how many strong characters he managed Cantona, Keane, Schmeichel, Beckham, Rooney and Ronaldo 🧐 and Cantona's walk out of dug out 🤩 I have not seen any player exhibiting that much swag, confidence, charisma and pride.
  • Another amazing video. I hope that one day YouTube's algorithm favours you and your channel blows up, because this content is extremely high quality.

I had goosebumps at the ending and feel so proud to know the history of my club, delivered so beautifully. This is a masterpiece. Thank you! GGMU
  • Culture Cams recommended this via Rants N Bants. My teenage years when we were the best team in England, God I miss those days! Big up!!!

That 98/99 season will stay with me for a long long time. I was only 11 and remember crying as i watched that final thinking it was all over as the board went up for stoppage time. Always remember that commentary "SHERINGHAM, AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT" And to think some fans were desperate to get rid of Fergie just 9-10 years before it. Horrible to say this but we will never see another United manager quite like the boss again. The man is a legend and no words can do him justice. ❤️

As a lifelong United fan of 34 years, this is an absolute masterpiece. Sad how far we have fallen since Sir Alex retired. But hopefully we can reach the promised land again sometime in my lifetime.

This shows how tough a job Alex Ferguson had to deal with and what a miracle he did. How fans quickly asked for him to be dismissed twice during his tenure. As a Man.utd fan, am so happy we don't get to choose. Shows how some patience does pay off.

It is YouTube's fault for not recommending this channel to more people. Easily one of the best.

A True classic. Every Manchester Utd fan should see this. If you did not cry tears of joy at the end, you aren't a true fan.
  • After all these years, watching those 2 goals in the UCL final still gives me goosebumps
