Idk if this video aged good or badly
-
I am thrilled to say this aged awfully
-
and that's why it's art. doesn't need to be appreciated in the moment. it's gotta be timeless.
-
This video single handedly caused the release of Atavista
-
the album is amazing if you take the time to listen to it, and like he said, now it’s kind of a hidden body of work that his fans can enjoy and newcomers may be surprised to find
-
This is proof that if nothing else, aesthetics matter. A lot.

donny’s always been a kinda “read between the lines kinda guy”.. I think that’s what led me to get into his music. During his album rollout of because the internet, there was a secret vocal acapella that could be found in the screen play that would pair directly with the beach picnic version of 3005 on his later release ‘kauai’. I respect his secretive nature of creating art and i like that he hid his last album in a way. almost like he’s saying “if you really care, here it is”

as of 5/09/2024, 3.15.20 has been removed from Spotify and Apple Music
-
He dropped it at the worst time humanly possible
-
19:10 is one of my favorite songs from him ever
-
Who is here watching this video after Donald Glover announced his updated version to 3.15.20
-
there’s good songs on this album but it’s just odd and makes it hard to come back to it, it has no normal track list and even cover art
-
W vid, Gambino really started the mysterious aura wave
-
tbh this album is aging like fine wine. Listened to it when it first dropped and i always think back at that time where the pandemic was in its early stages and the numerous riots throughout the country. there really was a moment that felt like ‘this is america’ so sad he didn’t add that one, but the album is basically that + raising the youth during these times. i love this sm

I feel like he did it to complete his record contract.

I read on Reddit that 3-15-20 was intended to work as a soundtrack to Tenet as Donald Glover was up for the part of the Protagonist in the movie. Songs about time, his association with Ludwig (the films musical supervisor and film scorer) as well as the fallout with WB when he signed on for Disney. I think he intended more for it but abandoned it and released whatever was finished. Too many coincidences…

There are only five artists in the world right now who could drop an album without a rollout and have it go no.1 in the charts: Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Rihanna, The Weeknd and Frank Ocean
-
3:15:20 is THE BEST ALBUM no one knows about
-
Love, “Little Foot”.
