Here they are trying their luck to FOOL the legendary duo of Penn & Teller on their hit primetime TV show 'FOOL US'. Peel & Lau have created a unique version of the most dangerous act in history, the Bullet Catch! - which Penn & Teller are famous for having part of their show. In Peel & Lau's version, they use a signed coin as a bullet and a slingshot as the 'gun'

This act is sure to make FOOL US history because where the coin ends up will absolutely blow your mind!

This trick is actually really clever and contrary to what people in the comments say there is no fake signature involved. Well done! SPOILER BELOW The coin that is signed consists of two halves that can be separated. When signing, Brooke therefore signs one side of one half and one side of the other. Lau first shows both sides of the coin and then hands over one half to Peel. Peel only ever shows one side of the coin (with the signature) and orders Brooke to step away for her to not see the back of the coin. At 3:52 Lau inserts his half of the coin with the smiley into his nose. At 5:33 Peel hands over the second half of the coin to Lau with his right hand into Laus left hand. After getting his half with the smiley out of the nose, Lau puts the half into his left hand, where the second half is already waiting. After that he has the full coin with both signatures.

How hard is it to fool them with one of their own tricks? Fantastic!!!
  • @AzNightmare
4:54 LOL, you can hear it took a second for the 2nd half of the audience to get that joke.
  • Excellent guys, such performers. Thank you for debuting it for us in this setting, excited for what's next!

Great to see fellow South Africans on this show! I now live in Cape Town but was born in Port Elizabeth. Well done!
  • @DavidDellman
That was WONDERFUL! You guys are awesome. Congratulations on your much-deserved success.
  • @MbretG
Not so sure if that coin came GENUINELY out of his nose. If you could say that once more, maybe I would be sure.

Boy, that was absolutely fantastic! The balls that you guys have to do a trick so similar to Penn and teller's big trick is amazing! This act had it all. Humor, excitement, a little bit of disgusting added in there. Great job guys ✊🏼

The audience seemed quiet, but I laughed at your jokes, really funny. I also appreciated when Brook put the smiley face off center, that helped show that it was the same coin (within reason)

Two coins stacked on top. When she signs the coins, she signs one side of each coin. Front of coin 1 with the initials, and back of coin 2 with the smiley face. Lilau is careful to flip the coin stack with his hand covering so they can’t be seen together from the side. He hands coin 1 to Brendon and it is put it the little clip on the table. Lilau shoves coin 2 up his nose when he inflates the balloon. Brendon makes it look like he is shooting the coin at Lilaus head, but nothing is fired. He keeps the coin palmed in his hand. The glass is a self breaking glass gag that can be purchased anywhere. Its sole purpose is to convince you that something was fired out of the slingshot when there wasn’t. Lilau then motions for the hemostat which gives Brenden a reason to get in close. When they are side by side, Brenden simply hands the second coin to Lilau. Lilau palms the second coin. At this point coin 2 is in Lilaus nose, and coin 1 is in his left hand. He pulls coin 2 out with the hemostat and we can see the smiley face. He places it in his left hand which is already holding coin 1 with the initials. Now they are back in the two coin stack. He again is careful to cover the flip with his hand so we don’t see that there are two coins. She could have drawn anything on either side, but they directed her to draw two different things so we can see that there are two sides. In the end when Lilau is prompted for Brook to inspect the coin, you can see him struggle to make sure he gets the coins back in the stack before he pulls them out of his pocket, he again flips it over with his hand covering the coins. He does not hand the coin to brook as it would immediately give it away.

Nice job guys!! Congrats on the trophy! 👍👍👍
  • Wonderfully performed, and a really neat idea to play homage to Penn and Teller while also managing to come up with a twist that essentially misdirected them to the wrong solution chefs kiss

    Congratulations! Awesome and entertaining routine!

I am really surprised Penn and Teller did not notice it. But then again, the camera angle might have been better than what they saw from their chairs.
  • I cant believe that you can clearly see him put the coin up his nose at 3: 50- 3:55 while blowing up the balloon and Penn and Teller didnt see it
