AI that can target multiple enemies at the same time is the hardest shit to code ever, no wonder they didnt have big ai group fights (like soviets vs xof or diffrent african pmcs fighting each other) in mgsv or more than one support buddy

  • The most accurate part of this whole thing is that skipping the cutscene just brought you to another cutscene.

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, there is a cutscene that if you skip it, link is a human in the forest one moment, and the next you are a wolf in prison

I have the feeling Kojima did this specifically to troll people that skip cutscenese.

The whole gameplay segment was kinda frustrating cause it was slow and long cause i kept missing one of the tasks to hit Physco mantis

This video is a meme, but this entire “never skip the cutscene again” is really what got me into large and long stories in gaming, specifically with this game. One mission called “where do the bees sleep” you do a pretty regular mission and near the end there’s a cutscene that triggers, and when I was younger I didn’t really care about the story, but when I skipped it I was face to face with a giant metal gear (sahalanthropus) standing over me. That was an experience I had had in no other game, and it invested me so much that I watched my brothers play through of the game up to where I was so I could see the cutscenes in full, and I listened to the cassette tapes and so on. And now, I love playing games with really long stories and I have come to really appreciate games with grand stories to them (not that before MGS5 I didn’t like games with stories, I definitely did, but 5 REALLY got me into the concept and I’ve been a major fan ever since) Edit: I’m playing through MGS5 again, and the level wasn’t “where do the bees sleep”, that IS where sahalanthropus first appears but I skipped that cutscene and didn’t see it, the one where I saw the metal gear was the one where you go and get Huey

the switched playermodels aren't even necessary, the skip is already wild and unhinged enough by itself

Even Snake tries to skip this cutscene several times. Everytime the doctor speaks to him infact.

One moment you’re building a house in RDR2, next minute it’s “RULES OF NATURE”

A precise depiction of college maths class.

I've never understood skipping cutscenes the first time you play a game.
  • @WTZWBlaze
I will never understand people who skip cutscenes. Edit: Wow this has sparked a lot of discussion. Know that I am absolutely ready and willing to die on this hill. And for clarification, I meant people who skip cutscenes on a first playthrough. Story’s there for a reason, man. :] Edit 2: omg a hit comment

I expected the cutscene to transition to the doctor telling me its not a cutscene and that I'm in a coma but you went and showed me what my brain will hallucinate when Im dying

That's like when you look away from the blackboard in class for 5 seconds and when you look back the teacher wrote ten exercises you have to copy.
