Headspace and mediation have done wonders for my well-being so honestly it's completely worth trying out :)

I spent 5 days on a deserted island 50miles of the coast of central America on the Pacific side with no food, no water and no shelter and only limited gear.

A special Thanks to desertislandsurvival.com/ and @wildsurvivalskills for the Training :)

Video should be named: “Dude drinking coconut water”
  • @bernardakoito
Tip for coconut. Remove the husk after drinking the water. Then roast it. It will produce some oil. Put oil on skin. Instant moisturizer and insect repellent
  • @Phixcer
i love how most of the comments mentions about him talking about coconuts. i mean you cant blame the guy its the only resource he can easily get to
  • @AryaSumerta
A tip from me, its easier to open cocomut from the side, just make a V cut and you need 4-6 swing. The side is not as thick as the top or bottom of coconut
  • @ronboot2578
Those crabs will be talking about you for years: "Remember when that Canadian guy showed up and chucked out all of those perfectly good coconuts?" "Remember? I've still got some of the coconut in my freezer".

*one tips- if u want drink coconut water with better taste, shake the coconut first, if u hear the water inside shaking, thats defenitly the wrong one. if it dont shaking, thats the good one. it's coconut taste just so good and better than, and eazy to scratch too. im an south east asian, coconut water is my blood. trust me

Here in Portugal we eat snails in the summer. You wash them in running water, then put them inside a boiling Pan with water for 10 minutes. After that you cook them for about 10 minutes in low heatt. Then you want to add salt, a bouillon chicken cube, crushed garlic with the bark, chopped onion, oregano leaves, Bay leaf. Increase the heat, as the water start to boil keep that way for 5 minutes. Just keep taking out the foam it gets. Know you can eat this with beer so good!

Literally living and making childhood dreams! I sit here with my son, and we both are glued, and now he wants planes. Quite frankly, so do I 😂😂😂❤
  • 53:32- 54:06 is why I watch. Every other survival/camping content creator seems so serious, but Xander gives all of his videos a great lightheartedness that I really enjoy!

I've watched so many videos of yours in the past few weeks youve quickly become my favorite wilderness you tube channels. I think what puts you ahead of other youtubers is the SOUND. You really let nature shine and the quality is so crisp. Looking forward to more awesome videos, much love dude.

1:04:39 "wasp bit me but i killed him all is fair in the world" coldest line I've heard by far
  • @Robert_Lindsay
I watched this with my little boy (6). He asked loads of questions and we learned a lot from your good example. Inspiring work you do showing those survival skills and your constructive attitude. Thanks.

Love that smile in the end, you can tell how excited he is to go back home

  • A full-length Xander surviving on a deserted, tropical island movie!! Thank you for the treat, brother 😃🥥🏝
  • @scorchtoggs6164
Some things I learned: Xander is way more jacked than I thought, tropical suits him more than I would have thought, he needs to do some more of these long form video's where he's out of the snow and Canadian outback, he's funnier than I thought too. Good stuff Xander!
  • It would be cool to see you back at the hotel after a trip getting good food and cleaned up and the appreciation you have for it after not having it. Also this is the first video ive watched of yours. I will definitely being going down the list now. Glad i found this. I love the long form videos like this.
  • my absolute favorite thing after being out camping for a while and being dehydrated is once getting back to town, first stop is to Sonic to get a bag of their ice, and I'll just sit around drinking ice water and eating ice. If you ever get a Sonic sponsorship, shoutout their ice lol, best ice ever.
