My dog follows me inside the house nonstop but I guarantee you if I accidentally let go of his leash he’d run off to the sunset without a second thought 😅

I'd like to see this done with a dog that is experiencing separation anxiety already, This dog appears well trained calm & not anxious one bit.

Please do more of these separation video. More with other dogs... not your dogs.

I love how you explain WHY the dog does/feels what he does. It really helps to be more patient with them rather than getting annoyed.

The moment when you realise Cesar Millan is now training millions more humans than dogs.......mind blown!
  • I don't do single dogs anymore. I get so much more out of my dog's love for each other and watching them play. I can leave knowing they are content in each other's company and I return to such a calm, content energy. I'd never go back to having a single dog.
  • My son’s lab had terrible separation anxiety so I took the easy way out. I bought a huge kennel and adopted him a friend. Now they hang out in the kennel together when we have to leave and he is calm, never tries to bust out or chew up the tray. Ha! Not a solution everyone can use, I know. Worked like magic, though.😅
  • Thank you for watching! Let me know what you think of the video and what else you would like to learn. Wishing you a week of safe, peace, and love. ❤️
  • I'm a senior and have a little terrier, I take her with me shopping, and everywhere. 24/7 we are together. Last evening I had to attend a meeting that she was excluded from for approx. 2 hrs. for the first time in over 6 months we were separated. I came home she has scratched at my door and door frame to the point of damaging her paws, it broke my heart and it took me the rest of the evening to calm her down. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Thank you so much for sharing your great understanding of dogs with everyone. You are gifted and your shows are a blessing!
  • Really needed this. Just started doing this with him and he’s catching on.

I don’t think my dogs has the anxiety separation, it’s me.

This is why Cesar is the best. With people slowly transitioning back to their regular schedules, the timing of this video is amazing. Thanks so much!

Been a long time since I’ve watched Cesar as 12yrs ago I found his techniques too harsh and without enough praise when the dogs do the right thing. Found this video very helpful and I’m happy to see he’s learnt better balance himself.

This is one of the most informative and instructive videos I've seen on this issue. I have referred back to it many times, and I've passed it along to pet parents I've been training, as well. Thanks for taking the time to play this out for us so we can gain a knowledge of how to successfully treat separation anxiety - and, just as important - what the thought process is that the dog is going through. Very thorough and helpful.
  • Cesar is simply the best. I could listen to him talk about dogs all day.

I am ALWAYS telling my dog "I'm going grocery shopping" or "I am going to visit a friend" She KNOWS, and she just goes on the couch on her own.

Needed this I never had a dog before she is a tiny thing ive stepped on her a few times on accident because she doesn't understand that I am getting ready for work or doing something she shouldn't be near for because she can get hurt. Today is my last straw her poor little paw got caught in a drawer I felt so bad but I blamed her because she doesnt listen when I tell her go to your bed. Trying this because I dont want to hurt ever again
  • I just tell my dog that I have to go to work and he instantly goes into chill mode. We're kind of inseparable otherwise...he's crazy intuitive, loyal and trusting. Can't express my gratitude enough for him. ❤

My dog with separation anxiety is the one I had to chase down the street to come back.
