Nah, this man has done THE WORK. I can tell by his responses, his willingness to listen and I can SEE it. He looks joyful and at peace. I love to see it❤
  • Usher’s smile just makes me smile. Like why am I smiling at the screen 😂

Usher has been with us dropping heat in the 90s, 2000s, 2010s and now in the 2020s still sounding fresh as ever! The man is a living Legend, in his own lane and such a important figure in R&B and in music. He deserves all his flowers 🔥

I hope usher knows how appreciated and loved he is especially by us 90s babies that have followed him from the beginning. Unbelievable talent

I really love this chapter in Angie Martinez's career. I like that she is bringing the faces that we know and love here to a safe space to see them in a new light and on a completely different level. But it doesn't feel invasive or like we are intruding on their privacy like a lot of celebrity/public figure interviews can be.
  • So I met Usher in 1998/1999 A&T university homecoming back stage and he asked me what’s my name I said Asjadoll he said I’ll never forget it. He was humble a very down to earth guy. His mom said don’t get to close to the fans and he still offered me a hug. He’s always going to be one of my favorites. He is one of the greats . I love him much more after this interview.
  • As a licensed therapist and spiritual healer, I saw this evolution in him during his tiny desk. This interview shows his self awakening and self concept journey is abundant. Kudos.

Angie can’t miss, these interviews have been incredible!

I've always loved Usher as an artist, but this interview made me love him as a person even more. I love that he's prioritizing his mental health and healing journey. You can see the difference it has made in him. We need to embrace this more in the community.

I’m impressed how Angie’s interview style has changed over the years. Now it seems she has mastered the ability to meet her guests on any level without leveraging her personality. Usher seems to be in the nirvana of his awakening stage and I think that’s great for him. He still hasn’t lost his PR style of interviews but I can appreciate him being more open about his life. It’s with no doubt that Usher has paved the way for the new kids on the block but I understand his humility in being regarded as a legend. And to be honest, I’m a huge fan of a few of Usher’s albums but I think he’s still in his “music icon” stage. We’re gonna need a couple R&B albums with songs more lyrical depth to seal the legend title. His most notable songs were his R&B songs recorded in his teens & 20s. Afterwards, he dipped into the pop market and gave us the mainstream sound. After dropping a gem like Confession, it’s a requirement that he circles that back around with an R&B classic to seal the deal. We can talk about legend status afterwards.. I say this because Usher is immensely talented and there’s still a lot more he could contribute to R&B considering he has no intentions on stopping.

usher is this generations babyface! he’s been in the game nearly 30 years and still looks the same as when he started!
  • Your either suffering or in a non suffering state of mind.. Usher's an ocean of calm 🌊
  • @S0ulB3autee
This man owns exactly who he is and what he’s been through. I can just tell he’s done the work and that he’s happy now. No more suffering ❤
  • Great show Usher! Came to Vegas last Friday from Philly. He was so humbled by all the beautiful black people from all over the country that came to see him. His DJ was off the chain and it was a big party before the show even started. Everybody was good vibes! Black grown excellence 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 thank you 🙏🏿

  • I've been loving this man since "Can you get wit it." I'm so happy to see and hear his growth, to witness him receive his flowers over and over, and to see him enjoy his greatness. I use to tell anybody that would listen about him back then and to now have EVERYONE love him the way I did/do...FULL CIRCLE. One of my 1st male crushes...so happy that we grew together. Signed, a forever fan.
