  • I promised my granddaughter I would take her to Paris when she turned sixteen. We are here.... before I left, I watched every les Frenchies video and made a list of restaurants. At first, my granddaughter moaned and complained as we searched for everything on my list.... but soon, she realized there was gold at the end of the rainbow. The first restaurant was Relais de l'entrecote for Steak and Frite. Hungry for more, she asked if we could watch the videos every night at our Airbnb. Today, we had lunch at Bistrot de Paris.... She's funny...kept looking to see if you were eating there too. We had Cod, Ravioli and profiteroles grande... Expensive but worth every dime. Tomorrow we will go to Bouillon Pigalle. I'll probably be a bag lady by next year but the experience is priceless.

We are right now at Chez Germaine. OMG, it is sooooo good! I can not describe how good is the food and wine, it's authentic French and tasty and THANK YOU FOR RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE! I'm so happy we came here!!!!
  • @emmalesouef9022
As a young Parisian i would recommend the restaurant Paloma in the 20th arrondissement, for a rather modern french cuisine. The meal menu is very cheap (15€) for very good products. In the evening you can order plates to share, which are also very good. Thank you for your entertaining videos, your smiles are very communicative. Keep on!
  • Thank you for allowing me to join you at Chez Germaine - that lunch was truly spectacular! And thanks to the rest of this video I have several other great local spots to try next time I'm there! Merci!!
  • @crazyjackfr
Merci pour toutes vos vidéos, vous mettez vraiment notre culture à l'honneur et c'est un véritable plaisir de vous suivre!
  • Les Frenchies! I just want to say, thank you so much. My husband and I went to Paris for the first time, and I found your videos so helpful! We only had two days to explore the city, and because of watching your videos beforehand, I felt that I knew where to go, and most importantly… What to eat! You guys are an awesome couple, and I’m so grateful that you chose to share all your local knowledge with the world!! Lots of love and admiration from Eric and Christiana Leonard xxx

I would like to give another tip. A real complete meal (apéro + entrée + plat de résistance + fromage/dessert + café) is not the typical Parisian workday lunch, except if it is a professional lunch, or maybe a friday lunch. This kind of epicurious meal is more for dinners. On workdays Parisians (excluding students and working poors) maybe will take only an entrée or a plat de résistance. A few entrées are really nutricious (céleri rémoulade, salade au fromage de chèvre, salade landaise, assiette de charcuterie, tête de veau, and so on) and with bread can easily be a very satisfying lunch, that allows to go back to work for the afternoon. Or they take only the main course, then a coffee, and that's all. As a tourist in Paris I would do the same, I mean not having a full french meal on lunchtime, so that during the afternoon you can have a pastry or two!

The French make any meal look like a spectacular and special experience. Truly amazing how they embrace all that makes life worth living - food!
  • @jayringo77
Literally just returned last night from our European trip that ended with 3 days in Paris. The guide was AMAZINGLY helpful and the videos (Metro, Chocolatiers, Do/Don't) laid the foundation for a hugely successful time in Paris. Already planning the next trip back, this time with France as the focus, so your Normandy and other videos are already doing great work for us. Thank you so much and looking forward to future suggestions!
  • @kevandavey6295
I love watching you eat your way around Paris the way the locals do. Everything looks amazing. I can't wait to go back to Paris again.
  • @OhSoLucius
