  • The horses have so much trust in the carrier, they never make a noise or even flinch. I’m fascinated by these types of videos 😊
  • That level of trust doesn’t just speak of the amazing animal but also the handler who treats them well. Very cool to see.

I love watching skilled people rocking out doing their thing. Outstanding attention to detail, executed with style and grace.
  • Being a farrier isn't an easy job by any means. Setting the physical labour part aside for a second, a farrier has to learn two very different fields of knowledge: anatomy of and how to treat issues with horses' hooves, and how to work metal. Shaping a shoe isn't just heating up a strip of iron until it glows and then hitting it with a hammer until you get the shape you want. you have to know what temperature is best to work with, and how over- and under-heating will affect the metal and its properties. Then there is the hammering itself: I did some jewellery making and silver smithing some years back, and learned that if you hit the metal in one way, one thing would happen, hit it slightly differently, and something completely different results. So I take my hat off to all farriers- after all, they aren't just people fixing metal shoes to horses with nails: they are true masters of two very different crafts!

I don't have a horse but for some reason this is satisfying to watch

I'd love to see one where you explained what/why you were doing. As someone who has never shoed a horse (and never will) I think it would be super interesting to hear the basics from yourself, given you're so clearly an expert in your field!
  • You do BEAUTIFUL work!!!! You’re the first ferrier that I see on YouTube who pays such nice attention to the beauty of the outside hoof using an electric sander and then the sanding block at the end, and the clear hoof hardener. I’d buy a horse just so I could take him to you!!!!

I've watched lots of horse shoeing video on YouTube these years, this is epic, a masterpiece. Every step shows gentle and professional care of the horse, I can tell that the horse must be proud of these new shoes.

Growing up in Romania in the 90's most of us had grandparents who had small households with animals of all kinds , but most of them had at least one horse ,one cow , all kinds of birds and other livestock . I remember how most people if they ever saw someone who had a skinny horse or one that looked unhealthy they would immediately judge the owner as a bad person and an older aunt of mine ,when I was about 7 or 8 , she had to use her horse for a weekend with worn shoes because the blacksmith was so busy he couldn't make it in time , the horse was struggling a bit and my aunt was almost in tears and talking him through the work , she even took twice as long to finish everything because she was trying to protect him ( rain was predicted and so the crop had to be harvested that day ) . People who own horses love them more than other people I swear .
