Yeah, the body can be as magical as it is hellish. At least with some advancements in medicine they're more options. Big hugs. โค
  • Thank you for this & for being so real. I never tell anyone on fb etc how Iโ€™m feeling, because I donโ€™t want people telling me to stay strong, that Iโ€™ve got this etc etc. I donโ€™t find things like at all helpful & makes me feel that I canโ€™t express my feelings. Iโ€™m really sorry that youโ€™re going through a hard time. I hope things improve for you. x

Hi Amity, just wanted to let you know that I felt everything you said in this video. I get that family and friends want to reassure us that it will all be fine and keep us positive, but sometimes you need the one person that acknowledges how much it sucks to keep fighting your own body and deal with so much pain and suffering all the time. Thanks for being that one person for me today. I found out a couple hours ago that I will be having my second PEG-J surgery in 10 days (after having had the first one removed last December due to never ending complications). Feeling quite a mix of happy and sad/scared emotions. And I fully agree with you: recovery from PEG-J surgery is brutalโ€ฆ the first time, I was told that it would not really hurt much and that it would heal quickly. Oh boy, were they wrongโ€ฆ Sending you lots of hugs!

Fellow jtube pill crusher! I personally find it easier to do medications with the smaller purple enfit 10mL syringes. And this might sound goofy, but what I do is: I cover the tip of the syringe with my finger (or use a syringe cover end if I have one), pour about 5mL of water in, then pour in my med dust, then plug the plunger back on and shake it up. I find that I lose way less of the medication powder and make less of a mess with the water (what happened to your pants, I get you, I've totally been there). You could do the same thing with the larger syringe and more liquid for sure. Whatever method you find works for you, though, it just takes practice and consistency. (: Thank you for sharing these vulnerable/emotional/personal moments--I forget if I've said this in the past or not (I'm not a big social media person or commenter), but the detail in your vlogs have been very helpful to me in the past for troubleshooting issues on my end. So I hope you don't mind that I tried to repay the favor by sharing some of what's been helpful to me, too. Whatever it takes to keep going when it sucks, right?
  • Hey hey โค I went and had an emptying scan for my gastroparesis few weeks ago and the results came back and said it was gotten worse since my last one in 2021 so thatโ€™s not good but makes sense I see my gastro soon to talk to her about the emptying scan resutls more and other stuff soon, love your videos amity

I HAVE THE SAME MEDICAL CART BUT IN RAINBOW TRANSPARENT COLOR XD
  • You know what... it does suck!! I am filming a vlog today and just shot a clip of me telling viewers that I am learning how to cope with not doing anything. ::sighs:: Sometimes we just need to work through our emotions. It sucks!

Do they routinely do blood tests to monitor how you're absorbing food nutrients? Stuff like iron, copper, vitamin D, vitamin B, and other vitamins and minerals?
  • @Dulcimerist
How many roommates do you have? Perhaps they'd enjoy your surplus pizza pockets, and they could invite some friends as well. Have a fun party! :)

Did you test for Covid? Cases are the highest right now than they have ever been since 2020.
  • Hi, I watched your YouTube channel and your content is very good. I found lots of workspaces, that means it needs to be updated perfectly. If you update those all areas then you can see a good results day to day. if you're interested about it then we can discuss about it. Thanks & Regards, Shaheen
