Thank you SO much to each and every one of you who has watched our videos and/or subscribed to our page. I (Shayne) spend a lot of time editing the videos to try to put out the best content possible and it really means a lot to see the appreciation. We are thrilled to have reached 1k subscribers in a relatively short time and look forward to further growth of the channel! Don't forget to like the video, drop a comment, and subscribe (if you aren't already) to be entered in the double-bottle giveaway!!!

The house turned out to be much older than we thought (1840-60's era) but unfortunately, like many, the privy showed evidence of being "dipped". This is when they would clean out/empty the contents of the pit, discarding them elsewhere and prolonging the time they could keep using this hole to avoid having to dig another pit and move the outhouse over. Despite it being dipped, and a fairly small wood-lined pit, we were still able to pull some pretty sweet finds! Mike pulled his first pontil bottle and we got into some nice local druggists, sodas, and a rare embossed cure!

Hope you enjoyed the video! Be sure to check out our other videos as well. We are new to YouTube, but not new to digging. We are experienced diggers who will be posting content as regularly as possible. Subscribe and click the bell icon notifications button so you can see when we post our new videos! Likes and comments are also greatly appreciated. We are located in upstate NY and dig many different towns in both New York and Pennsylvania.

  • I was born in 77 and growing up in the 80's I remember rummaging through my mom and dad's bottle collection from when they use to go bottle digging back in the early 60's in Northern Ohio.

You have made me a bottle fan! Enjoy your hard work and the connection a bottle has to life in the past. It is like shaking a hand of the person who used it!
  • It’s good to see younger people still digging. I started in the 1960’s and had to give up the digging in the late 1990’s due to a very bad back. I’m in my mid 70’s now and still buy bottles from time to time.😀 Congrats on 1000 subs. Keep on digging and good luck.
  • Nice job guys! Nothing beats bringing history out of the ground for everyone to appreciate!
  • Congratulations 👏🎉 I still remember my first time 😂 as well....it was a open pontiled Mrs.Winslows.

I enjoy your videos so much. Brings me back to the 70’s when I dug a lot. Keep it going !
  • Milk bottles had different necks so the delivery person grabbed the right product for order....Milk was generally delivered in the dark so feeling the different necks ensured proper delivery.
  • Nice job Parlor City boys! Congratulations on 1,000! 10,000 will come quickly. Find. Them S. Mills Ely bottles! 😁 👍
  • What a sweet opening to your video. There's nothing better than looking at a pontiled bottle ready to be pulled out. Y'all dug up some sweet bottles. Too bad the stoneware wasn't whole. Enjoyed your video guys. ✌

That’s an amazing dig and such fun to watch! I dig also but I rarely find anything older than 1920s so it’s a treat to see someone else find them!😃
