Having a uniform really was a breakthrough for me when it came to fashion. Having a basic, minimal, set of pieces that are your weekday go-tos have so many benefits. Eliminates the stress and time taken up in the morning when trying to figure out what to wear. It also helps contrasts when you do decide to dress up for maybe the weekend or going out. When people see you wear a plain white tee and black trousers everyday, you’ll almost always get a reaction whenever you decide to pull some unique pieces out
  • " Being stylish and being fashionable are entirely two different things. You can easily buy your way into being fashionable. Style, I think, is in your DNA. It implies originality and courage. And the worst that can happen is that you fail. And you don't die from that " Iris Apfel
  • @stijn8588
A mix of both. Trends are inevitable. You stumbled upon certain pieces you started to love bc they were a trend/microtrend once
  • @TheTDawson1
Definitely Tyler the creator. His style is disruptive in a classic kind of way, especially in recent years. Nothing he wears is really anything we haven’t seen before but it’s more like styles that have been moved away from by the masses. And the way he puts colors together always seems fun no matter what the pieces are. #pvv

You know someone who has unique style is the man Drew Joiner, what a legend happy to be blessed this Sunday.
  • Emma really dresses good. It always looks so put together but it isn't trying too hard if that makes sense

I love how you highlighted that we should look inwards at our personal interests and how we identify ourselves to shape how we dress. At the end of the day there is no wrong way to dress. We're all just telling a story about who we are with the clothes that we put on everyday. The only thing I hate about fashion is how some people in the sphere can be extremely vain, frivolous, and judgemental. Especially in this fashion influencer/micro-celebrity day and age, a lot of people seem to take themselves too seriously and have grown out of touch from being a good human. I say this from personal experience knowing and meeting a lot of people like this in Los Angeles. I just hope at the end of the day people understand that there is nothing absolute and superior about their tastes. Fashion is about self-expression in the fleeting lives we live. Self-expression that doesn't have to come at the expense of judging and stigmatizing others.

My 2 cents on this: a few years ago I developed my uniform, mostly white shirts and flared jeans with menswear inspired shoes. Recently I‘ve started experimenting within the frame of my uniform: colorful jeans, same cut but different fabric, big sleeves, high collars, etc. If feels great to be able to try out new things without putting on a costume
  • @mfaith3129
Literally the first person I’ve heard say it’s okay to dress trendy and I had to reevaluate my thoughts on fashion trends and how in internally judge people fir following trends x
  • @jacobmperry
It's quite a 'trendy' style rn and one I take heavy inspiration from that being Daniel Simmons'. I love his use of soft tones and heavy focus on proportionality. I really enjoy juxtaposing traditionally quite formal pieces with large oversized/more modern silhouettes. Great vid as always man #PVV
  • @MrPuddingkopf
I like the idea of an uniform, I think I will never get tired of the slim black Jeans, regular white shirt and relaxed overshirt combo. But trying new things and pushing your comfortzone ist way to much fun at the moment.
  • @rami9274
I think Kanye does both. He does so many different aesthetics but you can see his exact same style/uniform in a lot of them
  • @EVOL-Hobby
I tried to force myself to get an uniform to buy less and find « my » style but at the end of the day there s no bad thing being experimental like ye is and I think I just can’t stop trying new things, Havin different styles for different mood is just so cool to me
  • @mtmchale26
I took up skateboarding in my teenage years and it helped shape every aspect of my life. Fashion-wise, I think Jason Dill really is someone who laid ground work for their unique style in the industry.
  • @memelord3348
I love your thoughts on pretty much everything on this vid but I differ on making a uniform right off the bat. I think that to make a uniform you first have to explore fashion for some good time, narrow it down to the core of what you truly like & then you’ll be able to assemble something you’ll be happy with
  • As someone who likes to always be doing something interesting with my outfits, I find the idea of a uniform scary but also comforting. I guess I can have the freedom to wear the same stuff all the time and not be creating a world altering brand new fit every day for class. I can be creative with clothing, but I shouldn’t put pressure on myself to do something new every single day.
  • @beyond7830
Figuring out my uniform was one of the most satisfying experiences in my life. I always know what to wear, basically everything matches. Tip: less is more.
  • Truth is a lot of the fire fits I see online, I could never wear in public, so I always make it my own.
  • @feaww5085
I love Im Changkyun's style. His style has evolved in recent years and while it's not ground breaking nor do I think it's trend setting but his style feels like it was made for him. It's clean, classic, and timeless. I'd argue that even when you compare others with a similar style to him, he still does it better than everyone else.
