One of the only 2 episodes of the classic series, DANGER MAN, that was shot in colour. The other - Shinda Shima - were rarely shown, and, instead were combined into the film, KOROSHI.

These episodes were shot only 2 weeks after the last of the B&W episdoes (The Not So Jolly Roger) had been filmed. It was shortly after Shinda Shima, that Patrick McGoohan decided to not continue DANGER MAN, instead going on to the legendary series, THE PRISONER.

The version of HIGHWIRE (the series original theme) was re-recorded for this 4th series. It's a faster tempo than the previous one.

Also of note, is just before this clip ends, Drake meets with Potter, who would later reappear in the PRISONER episode, The Girl Who Was Death (which was actually a rewritten DANGER MAN episode used for that series).

Last, unlike the B&W episodes, this - and Shinda Shima - give series creator, Ralph Smart, a different credit (it's: 'based on the series created by,' rather than 'series created by.' This difference is of note, as it is believed that Mr. Smart's connection had been severed, at this point - right before the PRISONER launch.

Ur very welcome. Since I posted ths little opening credit, someone ('Floyd Gibbons') has very magnanimously posted ALL the episodes - the 1/2hr as well as the 1hr-long series. Watch them - enjoy them. Then - if you've never seen it, watch Pateick McGoohan's brilliant follow-up series - The Prisoner.

If you like Danger Man, I highly recommend you go to danger-man.co.uk/. It's run by a fan who loves the series as much as I do ( being a fan, pre-internet, was quite different; I felt like a 'cork-in-the-ocean' - I only knew of ONE person who loved the series as much as I, and who had videotapes of them). The site is truly a work of love. There's a whole catalogue of pictures of each episode, various sights - 'then & now'. There's tonnes of audio recordings (different versions of the classic High Wire theme - as well as the later added on-to 'theme' for the stateside release, as Secret Agent ('Secret - A-gent maaaaan...' Mr Johnny Rivers - who wrote and sang it, said he simply listened to Edwin Astley's Highwire, and used the opening 2/4 bars and timed out the words 'Secret Agent Man' to it, and worked from there. It's a great site.
