The Mazda RX-7 has always been a legendary Japanese sportscar. From it's looks down to it's rotary engine, it is a truly unique combination however, when modified it becomes a completely different beast... This one-of-a-kind build 1st Gen FB RX-7 with its single turbo bridgeported 13B rotary engine proves why it is one of the best sounding cars ever. Shoutout to @rx7_brap!

It's awesome to see an owner who shares the passion for RXs in a way that'll inspire generations to come. Definitely one of the finest builds I've seen and those wheels are perfect.

I don't normally leave comments, but that car makes all the right noises. The turbo, the "brap".... just amazing! Great work building such a usable car!

Got one of these that’s been sitting for 20 years, I’ve recently dumped the oil and fuel for fresh stuff….. and it fired up and runs. Needs a rebuild obviously and a full resto that I will get to one day in the near future. Who said rotors aren’t reliable! This sound of this thing gets my blood pumpin👌👌👌

I follow his IG already and love everything about this rx7. Love how he is keeping the more factory look, while having it be a beast under the hood.🤙🏾

Great vid Clay, Great RX Damian. In the mid 90's, around the corner from my mate's house, there used to be a yellow one sitting on a front lawn with 600$ written on a piece of cardboard in it's front window. I was going to buy it just so i didn't have to walk from the train station to his house. When I think of some of the cars that we had and what happened to them I don't know if i should laugh or cry. I am grateful we had so much variety and there are still some around.

That is one nice Rx! I love the look of the stock wheels stretched out. Well done!
  • Wow that’s Epic! Well done on the build! Brings back memories of my Series 2 with Series 4 Motor and my Series 4 Turbo! Loved all my 11 Rotaries!

I had the opportunity to drive a 1982 model brand new from Dallas Tx. to Roswell NM. and I pushed it the whole way and helped my father put a custom paint job on it which I found out later my sister in law (owner) hated and had repainted … if she only knew how hard I hammered that rotary motor. What a car for its time!✌️

That is amazingly clean, especially for a 42 year old car. Awesome

I bought a red 79 back in 86. Was my first the first car I bought myself. Loved it to death. 2 years later I bought a 83 gsl with a glass roof. These cars ar so awesome.

Big props to Mazda legend Alan Moffat who piloted the Pete Stuyvesant Group C RX-7. Fond memories. Made me laugh when Mazda Japan allowed Al to compete in the US as a final send off for the Car 43 legend. According to folklore Al arrives Stateside ready to rock. The US teams checked out his setup and pretty much wrote him off as a joke. One must remember the Rx lost a ton of penalty kgs as per Group C rules making it the lethal weapon it always was and pretty much had the yanks eating their words as he ran rings around the competition. Goes to show, Aussies can build world class race cars, period....

81 RX was also my first car. This thing is spectacular!

What a beauty 👌🏼 who doesn’t love a braaaap! Nicely modded

That engine bay is so much cleaner and neater than the original. My first car was an 85. Didn’t realize how cool it was in ‘96. Kinda want one again
  • Still my dream car, and like this guy, one of my first vehicles (4th I believe, first was a 65 Impala, 2nd my mom's Silvia S12 Notch I bought, 3rd was an 82 Buick Regal, and then the Series 2 GSL FB RX7) was an 83 GSL RX7, it was Havana Brown, bridged 12A, Webber's, full Racing Beat exhaust, suspension, and sway bars with Bilstein shocks, and vintage SSR Superstars.... I was 16.... and my dumbass sold it when I was 17 right after finishing the build and I lost my license for a DUI, and instead of being smart and parking it and waiting, I sold it for lawyer fees which didn't even help the case 🙄😤😖 I almost bought an FC GTU with a large street ported 13B when I was 19, and I can't remember why I didn't, but didn't 🙄 I'm now 42, and should've been bought another, FB's are my favorites (SA is the small taillight, FB is the larger ones), FD's are my second favorite.... I'll never get an FD, especially not in my favorite Competition Yellow Mica 😖 Edit: I initially wanted to say it, but I got sidetracked talking lol.... this guy's FB is literally, besides not being Havana Brown with a brown leather (like mine) gut, or black cloth, it's literally perfect, nothing I would change (maybe taking that little dangly thing off the back, never cared for those little rings lol)
  • This out of all the rotary vids that I have having alot of respect for them but this has been ultra satisfying great quality and time involved 👌 🙌 👏 👍 definitely 🏁🏁🏁🤙😎🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🔥💖

This thing is awesome! Right where you want a street car. Top work 💪
