I wonder how proud he was to be the inspiration and bases of a character whom became a symbol of strength, masculinity, and spinach for years.

Popeye Explained: 1.) One closed eye so when below decks in the dark after being in bright sun he can switch eyes and the closed one is accustomed to the darkness. 2.) No Teeth. They fell out from Scurvy (lack of vit C) 3.) Overdeveloped forearms from twisting, pulling rope, and tying knots all day and night.

Beautiful artwork! He looks so real and spot on as Popeye. As a kid I wanted to be like Popeye and that's why I started eating spinach. I still eat Popeye brand spinach. I would like to see an action figure this detailed.

Wow! This further gives me the impression that the late great Robin Williams was just too young to play Popeye and he needed a better director as well. Sadly tho might his disease of LBD taken him. R.I.P Popeye! I mean jeez it looks just like him, and Robin had the same characteristics of the character!
