My girlfriend has the same diagnosis as Tyler due to an occipital infarct traumatic brain injury and it’s crazy how she has explained all of these same experiences that you talk about in your music. “Certain doors you don’t enter” in the memory storage hallways of her mind. She talked about the room of requirement. A dilapidated room filled with all this mental clutter that she was stuck in. There was a part of her that was locked away for a long time that had to go through and fix all of the memories until they passed through all of her “systems” your judges. Except she only has three. She called the dissociated memories “keeping secrets from herself” even the eye dilation thing to move to different parts of your brain. She’s told me about the schedule. Different version in the morning and at night. And a different version for each day of the week, except the weekends. She says she moves to different parts of her brain and operates from different areas at different times. Tyler I don’t know if you have a blind spot but she said she saw all of the patterns from the blurry face album in the blind spot. When you’re riding in the back seat in trench in the car, the “vessel” when you “push things forward.” Or “push it through” she says. She talks about whatever part is fronting, some come from certain parts of the brain that are blind or can’t hear. The skeleton thing where the part of your nervous system that detects your skeleton she said it’s like it flashes and I can literally see my skeleton. But she has the same video graphic memory thing where she will play back her memories to make sure she is being a good person or is in balance. All of your music has hinted at the experience but this is the first album that has been literal with you saying exactly what’s happening. I never appreciated your music before but now that I know what you are talking about I love it. You guys have done an amazing job at creating an artistic experience to explain the whole thing. I love how trench is the interior mental experience and scaled and icy is the in person in world experience. In “the light” or at the front. But the brain is absolutely fascinating and like in hometown I believe that people that have this experience have the ability to understand the power of the mind and that salvation can be found inside of ourselves. People with this diagnosis just have access to parts of the brain that the rest of us do not. It’s the key to understanding humanity. 21 pilots, the gorillas, switchfoot, the wrecks, Youngblood and Ollie Sykes. There are tons of artist talking about it in their music but Tyler is the first person to explain the experience literally. And I wish more people knew what you were actually talking about and how truly amazing and incredible it is. Thank you for dedicating your life to share it with us. And just know that there are few people out there that actually understand what you are saying. “The few the proud and the emotional” This split brain/DID/OSDD thing is crazy. Thank you Tyler Joseph for everything that you do.

Blurryface's hand/arm in the beginning went to grab Tyler's body to jolt him awake, and in the immediate take afterwards you see Blurryface grabbing the camera back into line while wearing the same jacket and glove. I love shit like this.

I know you probably won’t see this but as someone who struggles with trauma induced nightmares this song was everything. I always feel like you both are playing just for me as the intimacy of the words are unmatched. Thank you 🤍
