Miley's bad girl era had SO many people shook over a decade ago
  • @joeymills5827
i was 11 when the ‘bangerz’ era started, and i was GAGGED when miley started twerking in a teddy bear costume at the VMAS 😭 it was iconic though lol
  • @SydneyKong
“You just had to be there” OH I WAS THERE LMAOOO I WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOOL
  • @monoinluv4894
“I swear I don’t love the drama, it loves me” - GIRL I WAS GAGGED
  • @keyon659
I remember RUNNING to tell my classmates that Hannah Montana was naked on a ball crushing through walls😭😭😭
  • @oliviah.4741
Christina Aguilera “Dirty” era is an honorable mention
  • @frostedark998
imo reputation did it so well because all of the visuals and marketing was this dark aesthetic and to the public it basically seemed like a diss album to kanye- but really it’s her most romantic album and most of the songs are about falling in love, with only like 3-4 ab her cancellation and the kanye stuff
  • “in my reputation era” is a common phrase now among girlies, so let’s not act like it’s not at the top
  • @imuRgency
now yall know i mean nickelodeon :_imuCry:
  • Doja Cat's "bad girl" era was used to cover up the allegations against her and her partner. It can be a PR thing ... if you do something bad, rebrand with an edgy new persona. People will think it's all part of that new persona.
  • @aaryiah
rihanna’s good girl gone bad era was life changing for me… yes i was like 6 but she ate down!!!
  • @Whynot-md8ct
Not hime saying Ariana’s transition form Disney and not nickelodeon
  • @gokalp6477
bangerz belongs in the motherquake tier... like idc that was an amazing era. you had to be there. sometimes it's not that serious like she did her thaanggg let her live!
  • @leyah6857
Man wait😭 not him ranking Ashley O😭😂 a whole fictional character 😂
  • @keyon659
Y'all don't like her rn BUT Ariana's transition from My Everything to Dangerous Woman(the bunny mask omg) then the eras that followed exuded CVNT like omfg y'all had to be there, y'all WERE THERE😭😭😭😭
  • One of the things I think is unique about Reputation is how the “good girl gone bad” persona that Taylor had throughout the marketing was a purposeful and open act — the album explores this dichotomy between the vengeful, angry, spiteful persona that she’s constructed for herself to face the media with, and the vulnerable, hurt, clinging-to-love “true” Taylor that that construction is meant to protect. The promotion, the singles she chose, the performances she did, all of it was meant to give the impression that this would be a revenge album, that the old Taylor is dead and she’s been reborn as a vengeful beast to unleash her fury upon her enemies, but if you listen to the album itself, that persona fades away pretty quickly and you see what she was hiding. The old Taylor isn’t dead, she’s just wounded and scared and trying to put herself back together. She never truly “went bad,” she was just putting in a show of it to protect herself— it felt like the world wanted her to be a villain, so she played the role of the villain. I think we were always meant to see through the act. At its core, reputation is an album about falling in love when you feel like your world is falling apart, and it’s a great example of why you shouldn’t judge a book (or an album lol) by its cover.

you should do another version of this list with male popstars that tried to shed the good boy image (I.e justin Bieber, Timberlake etc)
  • @biamarques8191
bangerz is such a good fucking album and i did not get over it what a time to be alive man
  • @amberbusse
lil nas x will FOREVER be my fave in this regard bc i was dating a YOUTH PASTOR (💀) during this era & i remember when the CMBYN video came out i was LIVINGGGG & it was lowkey his final straw in realizing he would never be able to convert me 😭💀 he ended up going to a ✨christian camp✨ a few weeks later and told me that he had a vision from god that he needed to break up with me🤭 but anyways i obvi ended up streaming MONTERÒ RELIGIOUSLY (lmao) and it truly went so ironically hand in hand w MY good girl gone bad era so i will always stan 💅

I’m sorry Rumi but what do you mean Ashley O in Diva Down?? When she got out of that coma, reinvented herself from pop girly to rock girly, and hit back with Head Like a Hole 🎸!!!! That was a COME BACK! ICONIC! QUADRUPLE Platinum in my house 🔊
