More worrying than the performance is the manager thinking that it was a good one. He’s unable to make tactical substitutions as he’s watching a completely different reality. I pray he’s just saying that to the media while addressing the set up for the next game.

Kane and Foden should have come off after 50 minutes. Bring on Toney and Gordon. Foden gave the ball away far too much, he doesn't play like that for City. Still seeing some delayed reactions from Southgate in regards to subs. France, Portugal, Germany and Spain would batter England if that approach is adopted.

Jude Bellingham carried this England team today while Foden went missing again. I had high hopes for Foden in this tournament, but the reality is he brings nothing to this team. We're too reliant on the right-hand side with Saka and Walker, making us too predictable. Better teams will beat us because of this.

There is no way in a million years that England win a tournament under Southgate! He could have the best player in the world in every position and still get it wrong! Good managers get the sum of their parts from their players, Great managers get more than the sum of their parts from their player and bad managers get worse performances as a team from their players.. Southgate unfortunately for England ( as usual blame those who picked him as they are to blame ) is firmly in the latter set of managers

Southgate has 0 in game management. Foden was authful, and Kane offered nothing up front. His pressing is non exsistant and he only won about 3 headers all night.

Gareth's definition of football is to poorly defend 1-0 leads. He would have Prime Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar sit back and defend for 90 minutes if he could.
