A short sound comparison video between my 2004 Gibson Les Paul Classic/standard,and my 2012 Gibson Les Paul Special.I played each guitar at exactly the same volume and amp setting. I start off playing clean in all 3 pickup positions, then the same with distortion. The Les Paul Classic has seymour duncans,and the special has a seymour duncan in the bridge and stock gibson pickup in the neck.I call the classic the classic/standard because, the only difference between a classic and a standard of that year were the pickups LOL. Both are great guitars :) I couldent play much louder cause the mic on the camera couldent handle the extra volume :(
