Today on Homeworthy we’re bringing you to the English countryside for a look inside columnist and interior decorator Rebecca Lovatt’s utterly charming 17th century cottage. A labor of love, Rebecca thoughtfully restored the grade 2 listed property into an inviting home that defines the beauty of country living. Inside you’ll find a brilliant collection of cherished family heirlooms, pillowy cushions and of course, lots of chintz. Enjoy!

  • Love the cottage. But the homeowner even more! Such a natural, sunny, funny lady ❤
  • Love the cottage, but especially loved the hostess. She's the woman we all want as a friend, sister, or mother. Joy and kindness emanate from her eyes and smile. I could watch her all day!

This is one of my favorite Homeworthy episodes ever!!!! I could sit and watch and listen to her all day! What a charming lady and her home is so charming and welcoming too. Thank you for sharing your home and all the stories of your life in the English countryside.
  • Love this house, and its old world charm. I want beams and plaster in my home! The owner is one of those people you could listen to for hours and have wine or tea with. Her taste in fabric is wonderful and her enthusiasm and love for her home is infectious! Thank you Homeworthy, more of this please!

Love this cottage. She’s just so lovely and I love how she is the keeper of her family’s heirlooms.
  • @sundaygirl006
She is as adorable and charming as her gorgeous house.
  • @therealnewangel
I love this woman! She is so personable, like you could be her best friend after one visit. Her home is as delightful and charming as she is. Well done!

She was the sweetest funniest most beautiful homeowner this channel has had on and I love her! What a beautiful cottage and I loved hearing the history of it, it is a real treasure. The material in those curatins are gorgeous and I too love holding onto my children's old toys and hated to see them grow up, so love to see how sentimental she is. Beautiful home and land, she is so blessed to live there, living in the USA we just don't have land that beautiful and I love watching videos showing the areas in England.

  • No, Rebecca, you did't talk too much! We would love listen more and morr. Lovely home❤
  • She is seriously so funny and this cottage is like out of a dream. Great inspiration and I love her passion for everything.

Every time I see one of these English cottages or farmhouses, I feel such a pull - something akin to homesickness… it’s kind of amazing how much it feels like home, despite the English side of my family having come to “the new world” 400 years ago, it’s like it’s in my DNA. Really love it - truly special

Such a sweet tour. She is so easy to listen to and loves her home so much, it makes me want to visit. Oh, but first, I need to buy a cabbage rose apron. Adorable, thanks for sharing your home.
