I just noticed a very simple explanation. when you die in the game, it’s Asgore’s voice, speaking with Chara, who is sick and is not waking up. But you can rename Chara, so her name can be yours, or something else. And you won’t even realize that it’s flashbacks from the past. Which means Chara might’ve been you. you might be Chara, which means you might be a reincarnation of Chara. Simple, right?
