Canada's two favourite hosers at their best. And filmed locally, too. I remember seeing it when it first came out in the theaters and laughed so hard I was in tears. Thanks for the memories.

I saw this when it came out in the theatre back in 1983. I officially feel old.
-
the scene at the beer store when they try to get free beer with the mouse in the bottle, the native fellow in the line is my grandfather, Emerson Charles, he passed away many years ago.
-
Respect to Rick Moranis for choosing family over fame and going out on top.

This brings back memories of growing up in Toronto. Those bright yellow cop cars lol.

Man... We loved this movie as teenagers in the 80s. In high school...me and a buddy dressed up as Bob and Doug and we went trick or treating. We asked for Beers, Eh. 3 houses...gave them to us! Beauty eh! Ah....the 80s...when kids where kids and parents were irresponsible! Good times!

Younger people today probably don't realize what a phenomenon these guys were. Not just in Canada, but all over

The plot is a Canadian version of Hamlet. I was in High School when this came out and had just read Hamlet. There's brewmeister Claud, Elsinore Brewery and even a pinball machine with a ghost. I don't remember any bottles with mice in the play, but still, the plot is based on Hamlet with a Canadian Tuxedo

I love you Canadians. Wish I could'a spent more time up there with my buddy and his family in Manitoba.
-
Used to watch all of the Canadian comedy shows back in the day. Lived in far upstate NY and Canadians were everywhere so it was natural.
-
I still use "No point in steering now" on the wife. Gets her every time.
