It all comes full circle. Rawest Forest played a big part of the Mario RPG revolution in the cry out for Geno for Smash. This goes all the way back to the early days of YouTube. Unbelievable feeling.

Rawest Forest was one of the first fandom related things I remember watching. Genuinely, this is the catalyst. It’s so wild to watch a remade version 10+ years later.

Not only did Super Mario RPG get a remake, but Rawest Forest did too? This is amazing.

Are we not going to point out that the man also wrote a completely localized version of the original game's Japanese commercial just for an end credits sketch? That's some dedication right there. I love it when obscure stuff like that gets referenced.

For those who don't know, Chris has been voice acting in many TV shows, such as OK K.O., a show I loved watching in my early youth (around when I was 9 years old). He was also recently hired to be a VA for One Piece (the English dub). He even animated many classics on Newgrounds, such as the NiN10Doh trilogy, and even the original form of this video. I was not aware of his work then. However, since I'm 14, it's amazing to see that an amazing animator and voice actor is still productive today!
