The A330NEO is a pretty incredible machine. It's chalk full of cutting edge innovations, making it one of the most efficient aircraft on earth. Plus, its ultra-roomy cabin makes for an exceptional passenger experience. But there is one area in which the jet is more modest than remarkable: its order book. Fewer than 300 NEO’s have been sold to date, and with orders slowing in recent years, many have written off the jet.

But like the old saying goes, good things take time. And as far as the NEO’s concerned, good things appear to be on the way. In the face of mounting market pressures, Airbus has made key changes to the jet. And as a result, the NEO could be on the verge of a sales boom. Let me explain…

It's fairly common for A330s to be used for short high density routes in Asia. That is why almost every asian airline has an A330 ceo fleet and, of course, this role can be filled by the neo as well. Many A330s are just so new that they do not need replacing yet.
  • My favorite thing about the a330 is the 2-4-2 layout. You only have to go through one person aisle access. The 2-4-2 configuration also allows better privary in my opinion. XL

I am a total Boeing guy, but the a330Neo is a truly impressive aircraft. it is interesting to see widebodies on short-haul routes, much like how they are flown in Japan and Asia.

Honestly, this change to the 330neo is my favourite part. I not only love an underdog story, but this demonstrates Airbus's design philosophy and why they're becoming so successful in recent years. Adapting the aircraft this way will also do wonders for carbon efficiency, and it's good to see Airbus doing this with existing tech, instead of just waiting for newer technologies. Size is medium, by the way 😉

What I found really interesting about the 330 neo is it's flexibility and versatility and ability to adapt so well to different routes. I also didn't know that almost all airbus planes have a similar cockpit. I really enjoy your videos Coby, always entertaining and high quality. Size Small

I have flown on a Delta's A330-900NEO.It's an amazing plane very comfortable, very quiet and versatile.A wonderful flying machine
  • I work at Airbus in Toulouse as an aircraft electrician on the A330. And I see, everyday, the differences between the neo and the ceo. Especially for the cabin furnishing, the way my company worked on manufacturing enhancement to fix galleys and lavatories for examples. But also on ordinary parts like baseboards. We just take half the time to install them compared the ceo! And even if I see it from the inside, I learned a lot with this video! 😁 Medium size 🤞
  • This really changed my perspective on the Airbus Ecosystem as a whole, seeing profits change that much in the case of Cebu Pacific after the introduction of a new aircraft is so impressive. It's so interesting to see the behind the scenes of the companies, thanks Coby! (also size large lol)

Great video! As someone who has always been a fan of Boeing, I have to admit that I'm increasingly impressed by Airbus' products, especially the A330. One thing I particularly appreciate about the A330 is its seating configuration, which is both comfortable and efficient. That being said, it's wonderful to see the A330 Neo doing so well and continuing to exceed expectations. Congratulations to Airbus on another successful launch! Large
  • I flew the very first -900 to Portugal a few years back. INCREBIDLY spacious, yet cozy, super smooth through turbulence, and the soft hum of the Trent 7000s is amazing. Easily in my top 3 favorite commerical jets. XL size btw !
  • I did not expect to see Cebu Pacific here as a notable A330neo operator. Then again, it is incredible just how much they use theirs, even their A330ceos. Their A330s fly from Manila to Dubai or Sydney one day, then get assigned to fly Manila to Cebu (about a 1.5 hour hop) the next.

I love your videos coby. My favorite thing about the A330 is that it holds the record for longest glide, breaking the record of the ‘gimli glider.’ Captain Piché is a hero. My shirt size is small
  • @Berubium
As a passenger, I love the A330 interior. It’s a very comfy wide body. Absolutely fascinating to learn about the cockpit commonality with other airbus models. That just makes me want to be a pilot even more! Men’s XL
  • I love how the A330neo incorporates so much of the A350's technology like the sharklets and new interior. 2xl
  • @ALITAARMY
I love the interviews with the Airbus employees, which gives insights into their future thinking. Excellent.
  • I've always been a huge fan of the A330. Qatar AIrways had a large fleet of them, plying the London-Doha route, which I flew on many occasions. This was a really interesting insight to changing market dynamics and how you don't necessarily have to create a completly new aircraft, you just need to have a deep understanding of the industry and be in a position to react and differentiate yourself quickly. Cudos to you for getting in front of some senior people at Airbus. Thanks for sharing, Coby. Size XL. 🙂
  • @mikenigrelli
Well I'm obviously going to jump in on this! My favorite has to be the typical 2-4-2 cabin layout in economy - it's not exclusive to the a330 (looking at you 767 and your 2-3-2), but having 2 seats along the sides is awesome. No worrying about the middle seat, just a window and an aisle as it should be. Also why I love the 717! Size XL if I'm so lucky.

incredible video. I really appreciate the closed caption during interviews with the Airbus personnel. Fantastic job Coby, very high production value video.
