This video provides both a field test and a review of the EGO LM2000-S, 56-Volt, Lithium Ion, Cordless Mower. The field test shows how much grass this mower will cut based solely on the residual charge left within two seven year old EGO Lithium Ion batteries (one 4Ah battery and one 2Ah battery) after those batteries sat all winter. This video also provides an overall review of the mower, highlighting a number of advantages associated with electric mowers in general, as well as a number of advantages specifically associated with the EGO LM2000-S.

Thoroughly enjoyed your video and humor! Can we be friends? Hahaha
  • Fantastic video! I will be picking these units up soon. Have a great weekend!

The most useful review I have ever seen. The other reviewers give reviews on brand new products, but nobody reviews the elongated time review like yours. It boosted my confidence in purchasing Ego products

I am an EGO fan. I have the 21" lawn mower(2018) w/a 5AH battery, the pole saw w/a 5AH, the 765 leaf blower w/ a 5AH, and the self-propelled snow blower. I bought two 12 Ah batteries for that. Great equipment and battery tech IMHO. Thanks!

I love my EGO mower. I wasn't sure about interchangeability of the battery sizes. Thanks.
  • Grass was wet and you need to raise deck height to get way more battery life during that cut. It's a wonderful mower, I have one. Very nice presentation, easy to understand and watch, keep on keeping on.

I picked up a 4ah batt and the identical mower you have here from a dude off marketplace. Decent. Timeless, if you will .
  • Excellent info, thankyou, very nice yard you have sir, i just bought same mower with the 10ah battery , used it once, grass is still thin so early in season, it cut well in mulching mode , real test will be in july and aug ,rainy season in fla,,best wishes happy holiday
  • EGO makes good batteries. My oldest EGO battery is probably around 8 years old and still works just fine even after sitting for months. I do try to keep using my EGO batteries all year though. The EGO Leaf Blower, EGO Generator, EGO Flood Light, and the EGO Power Pad are great products during the Fall and Winter.

Isn’t it great that you go around in circle when your neighbor ask you a basic question 101 on how long a fully charge batteries will run? 20 min? 40 min?

This is helpful. I just bought the EGO zero turn riding mower. Love it so far. But I was curious about battery lifespan.
  • Wow, I’ve had my ego battery / mower for about two years. The (56v) battery goes out about thirty minutes in and I need to take it out and put in back into my mower to finish my lawn. Frankly, it made me re-think purchasing an EV in the near future.
  • If u upgrade your blades on that mower with egos dual blades u will be so impressed on cut quality as well as battery will last a bit longer

I have the same mower and trimmer. Love the mower, my trimmer has low RPM's and I can't take it back. It does the job, just slower. Question: have you noticed a run time difference from when you first bought your mower? I don't think mine is lasting as long. I got mine in '15 also, same battery. I used to mow 2x/week and charge it every 3 weeks or so, but I have to charge it about every week now.
  • Height of the cut also affects battery life. You were cutting on level 2 I believe which is way too short. I cut all season long on the highest setting (7) and I never run out of power on a single 7.5 AH battery. In fact with the same battery I can do the edging and weed wacking and still end up with about 5-10% left. Its also better for your lawn because taller grass promotes deeper roots and less likely to burn out in summer.
  • @lawnmowerdude
Don’t EGO batteries automatically partially discharge after 30 days of non-use to preserve battery life? If that’s the case that was a decent bit of runtime on partial battery.

I bought an Ego refurbished this past spring. Battery so far has been fine (7.5V), but the self propelled isn't working so well. I will say that contacting customer service in my experience hasn't been an issue, but finding a competent Ego authorized service dealer is another story. The first one had it for 6 weeks and couldn't figure out how to fix. Just picked it up from there and brought to another dealer in the state that i was directed to by Ego and they're telling me it may be 3-4 MONTHS!!!! before they can get it back to me........

It’s not recommended to keep these charged while in storage. The new ones decharge to ~20% after 30 days sitting
  • Thanks for the vid n true battery lasting power, ah, I’ve got 2 lawns so it’s not viable for me.

I would refer to that tiny spot as a "landing strip." 😊
