I'm going to be blunt: 2023 was not a very good year for Apple. Products were underwhelming, release schedules were confusing, and it seemed like Apple lacked some serious direction and drive for its 2023 lineup. Am I wrong? I'm going a little unfiltered in this video breaking down some of Apple's big mistakes for 2023 and why I hope 2024 is going to be a much better year. Apple Fanboys, prepare to be pissed...

  • I completely agree!! This is the first year I didnā€™t even consider upgrading my iPhone and I am concerned the next yearā€™s model will be equally boring. I mean, why am I still waiting on a 10x zoom? Apple has great quality and I love the ecosystem, but itā€™s getting boring being an Apple user.

Okay, this is going to make me unpopular, but, I am going to stick up for Apple here. 2023 has been a difficult year for most companies big and small. We went through covid and other problems in past years. Manufacturing prices have gone up, wage cost has gone up, the cost of development and research has escalated. People may think that Apple and other blue chip companies have endless funds, trillions of cash in the bank etc but this is not always the case. We have seen the new M3 chip and other significant updates this year and yes, maybe there could have been more but a\t the end of the day, at what cost ? There have also been quite alot of developments in the IT arena and many more to come in 2024. This may have meant that Apple have been wanting to hold off for a while and take advantage of these developments. Ai is set to mushroom in 2024 and it will be vital to bring tech in line with this emerging software. Your argument is very one sided and maybe you should be asking for an interview with Apple to validate their current position within the market ?Get both sides of the story and a balanced presentation will follow..........

The biggest problem is that they don't have a proper competitor.

The last time I told Siri that she is dumb, her reply was ā€œthatā€™s not nice.ā€ šŸ˜‚
  • I think the best thing I did this year was with the new iOS 17 update focusing on mental health. We all need to focus on our mental health these days.

The only problem I have with them is they donā€™t give us what they say there going to give us and am getting frustrated with them ether then that I do love Apple

No need to apologize for your views. Tell it like you feel it. If people don't like w hat you say or your opinions it's their problem. If they were so informed or brilliant, they'd have their own channel. Keep up the good work.

My GF is "in love with the iPhone" lol. šŸ˜† I agree with everything of this video about the iPhone. That's why I'm not in a rush to get one for now lol.

I think rumors build huge anticipation but saying Apple is dead or no innovation is a bit over the top exaggerated.

They are truly missing johnny Ives. They have a good supply chain and logistics guy in Tim Cook. But they lack vision for design. They need to make the SOC more modular in the pro towers. They need a 32 inch imac. They need to innovate the hardware more. Make a bigger splash in the AI arena.
  • Apple primary focus is profit, at this point. So they are expanding outwards, rather than forward

I used to be a huge Apple enthusiast, but you hit the nail on the head, I've never felt more underwhelmed by the innovation and offerings coming out of Apple. I've definitely put more consideration into switching brands recently. I'm still rocking the Iphone 12 and even the 16 rumors elicit a collective "Meh" reaction out of me. Though the thing that gives me pause is I have a lot of movies within the Itunes ecosystem that would suck to lose. Thanks for the honest assessment, definitely earned a sub. I'd grade Apple a "D" this year, zero innovation outside of their headset, which is niche and priced way beyond the average consumer's budget.
  • @jenniferpedro295
I totally agree with you. I was going to update all my Apple devices this year but as time went on nothing worth updating for the price and upgrades. Disappointed this year
  • @andrewwater5836
It is my opinion that iPhone and iWatch should have a reliable oximetry ability
  • @3GC
    Bravo! Good words to hear.
  • @peterpeter8325
I am in love with Apple because I upgrade every 3 generations. Simple pricing upgrade.

Itā€™s hard to improve something when itā€™s already so fantastic. How many people use Apple products? People donā€™t care about change for the sake of change. They care about having products that work, and meet the needs of the modern society. If it ainā€™t broke, donā€™t fix it. Make improvements in areas where thereā€™s meaningful room for such. I have a feeling that their research and development is not geared so much towards phones, but towards the next big product (Apple glasses?).
