The acoustic monitor transceiver is normally used to track fish that have been tagged. Not 100% positive but I think that is what that one is.

I loved that you added the geography, and a bit of history to the video. How crazy is it that I live in Minnesota right across the river (St. Croix) from Wisconsin? Directly west of you. 😆

My guess for the ships is MMC stands for Merchant Marine Corps. (Just a guess)

The is not a battleship. A battleship is many times larger. That is the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 27 USS Nantucket. it is 377 feet long. A battleship is about 900 feet long. The Nantucket is mostly a missile launcher.

Used to ride my jet ski in San Diego and go near submarines and air craft carriers. Dang we’re they big. If you go to close they will warn you away. Scary to be next to something that size. Never saw big ships in fresh water, I had to look up how those ships made it into lake. It was via the Lawrence Seaway 15 locks.
