Somewhere out there, Zod just narrowed his eyes.
  • @irtwiaos
That was such a tone death commercial from apple. There are many ways to have the same message without crushing angry bird. Heck essentially running that ad in reverse having those tools coming out of the ipad does the same thing.

I seriously don't get the obsession with making phones and tablets thinner. They're already carryable by toddlers. How about upping battery life and durability...
  • @XSpImmaLion
People would probably have given it a pass, if it wasn't for: 1. The fact that Apple has already used this approach before, so it feels like old news; 2. Particularly AI. Because it feels much less like stuffing all those things inside a tablet, and more like we're replacing all of those things with crappy AI generated content.
  • Reminds me of that ad from the ‘90s where the bus driver squeezes Pokémon on the bus into a Game Boy
  • It's like that old weird add for Pokemon Red and Blue for the Gameboy. You know, the one with the bus driver who smushed a bunch of Pokemon in a compactor to fit them into a Gameboy? But that at least had a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"-like goofy tone to it. Apple and all other A.I. tech-bro pushers have lost all capacity to be subtle or charming in any way.
  • @SL1021Esquire
They should call it the “iPhantom Zone”🤣🤣
  • Steve Jobs found a broken chip and a metallic hand in an industrial press and started Apple. (Or maybe it was James Dyson with his vacuum cleaner.)
  • @B__C__
I stopped using Apple products a looooong time ago. Nowadays I wouldn't even know where to stick the paperclip to be able to eject my memory card.
  • @zesty9815
Move over, 'Saw' -- 'Squash' is here.
  • @Markusewitz
Good to know that I'm not the only one who found this ad highly disturbing!
  • @ClockwiseCat
Vinyl has made a huge comeback, and hence record players. I wouldn't trade my vinyl and stereo for a thinner iPad. Whatevs
  • @stevechance150
Thin is somewhat important for a phone, because you carry it in your pocket. "Thinnest iPad ever" is not that important.
  • @pollyb.4648
I second another genius comment- "Run the ad in reverse." Show all the tools coming out!!
  • @SaintDC42
Apple has the wrong marketing staff 🤣
  • OMG MADNESS & INSANITY IS THE TREND FOR WESTERN MENTALITY INDEED
  • One guy on a different chat posted that it would've been a great ad if they'd just used a mixing bowl to pour all those items into then watch them flow together to create the iPad signifying they were all accessable in that one thing iPad--- instead of smashing everything to bits. He was right. His idea would've been a great ad.
