Honestly, I really wish Jordan brand and Nike just did the Chicago 1s in the 85’ cut and left it at that. Would rather enjoy and wear mine to get that “worn” look, rather than buy it. Can’t help but feel like they just make these closely reimagined versions of sought after OG colour ways (such as the patent bred 1s), to get the money in, rather than give sneaker heads what we really want, perfectly OG colour ways without the added fuss.

I managed to hit on the Tom Sachs general purpose on the shoe, but the $40 shipping was a pain. I hit from the UK, very curious to see them in hand!

I reeeeally wanted the General Purpose. I've been legit looking for a new beater pair of shoes and that was the point according to the marketing. Glad there will be a restock in August, hopefully of the white colourway. The yellow is a bit meh for me, doesn't go with most of my wardrobe, which I think is essential for a good beater. Ah well, hopefully next time.
