Small Forest Patch, Great Result! Nice Treasure Hunt on an Ugly Slope

Published 2024-08-02
In this episode I’m metal detecting a relatively small patch of an ugly forest. Ugly, but only on the outside… The soil contained a few nice relics, mostly from the 18th century. That’s right “1700’s people” once again saved the day with plenty of nice buttons.
One button was partially made of iron. It had design. I tried to clean the surface for three day to recover some detail, but it’s still not enough. The design looks like a crown. The button itself must be from 1800’s.

The oldest find that day was a Roman nail and the highlight a small 1660-1720 bronze buckle. It was a short outing of 1h and 44 minutes. When my battery died, I decided to take the next bus back.

I hope you had fun watching it.
Thank you!

  • The simple things in life are the most valuable and meaningful. I wonder if the bronze ring was made for someone. I'm such an old romantic!
  • @TUBEORATER
I used to be as dedicated and consistent as you. Age setbacks can create major obstacles. I used to go hunting in the snow, in the middle of the night. Going to start concentrating on easement sidewalks. My favorite park is not producing like before. First v nickel, first Buffalo, Tigers eye silver ring.coin spills, mercs, quarters. Not lately.
  • Do you ever take finds….like the bronze ring, for example…to an expert for evaluation?
  • Best thing you found was the wedge and you left it behind. Too heavy?????
