Thank you for calling a c section traumatic. I think people fail to comprehend what it's like to know you are being cut open and to feel all the tugging (like your stomach is a suit case that someone is rummaging through). It took me quite some time to be able to talk about my induction and c section experiences. Foley bulb inductions are not for the faint of heart.

I was so scared when I went into labor. Not because I didn't think I could do it, but I was terrified of things going wrong. My labor went fairly smoothly and I did it without meds! I loved being pregnant, but I love holding my baby so much more! He just turned 4 months yesterday! Motherhood is amazing and I also found a whole new level of respect for my parents, and especially my mom who had to have a c section because of me flipping over last minute, sorry mom
  • The part about realizing your parent loved you the same way you love your baby…😭😭😭
  • Thank you for posting this, pregnancy is so strange and different for everyone (i’m 5 months now) and just hearing stories from Mom’s who are pregnant or have just had kids is just such a fantastic outlet for comfort knowing we’re all going through it one way or another.

The part that I 💯 got was when she talks about the respect she has for her own parents. How u realize, wow all the things I do for this little person, all the live I feel for them. That’s what my parents felt and still fell. It’s flooring.
  • 6 weeks pregnant with my first and I am bawling watching this! Some days I want to speed up time, but good reminder that I should reflect on where I'm at throughout this pregnancy. ❤

Such an interesting concept! Very insightful and educational.
  • That little baby is so darn cute, I had to watch the video twice! He just reminds me so much of my little one...well, back when he WAS little! ♡ A good and interesting video too. :)

Love you Sarah! You’re a rockstar and stellar mom. Thank you for making this and being so honest about your motherhood journey.
  • Your labour was very similar to mine in that I had to have a c section because my son's heart rate kept dipping with every contraction. I remember really struggling with the disappointment of not being able to have a vaginal birth. Thank you for sharing your story.
  • This resonated with my pregnancy/birth/motherhood experience on so many levels, thank you so much for sharing.
  • Wow your actual birth story (not pregnancy fantasy one) is almost exactly the same as mine! I was 2 weeks late and they induced me with an epidural. 3 inductions later I was finally in labour enough to be admitted to the hospital. Later that day, my son's heart rate dropped for a bit then everything was fine for a bit expect that no matter how much oxytocin they pumped into me I refused to dilate. After over 40hours of labour I was at 6cm so they recommended an c-section because baby's head was swelling. I was not prepared for the long painful recovering from both the labour and the surgery. My son was 3 months old last week and I am now finally feeling totally like myself again. I started feeling significantly better around the 2-4 week mark but it wasn't until recently that I realized how not totally back to normal I was even back then.

Such a great video! The best advice I got was also not to take any advice. Especially unsolicited ones. The worst was not to listen to my guts and go for a natural birth no matter what. Well, I dare to say I was so sure for years already about wanting an elective C section that even my baby knew that and remained breech until her last day in my womb, so although I wanted the C section, it was also necessary. It went really well, I was operated on exactly at week 40 without any labor. The day after was quite painful, but the baby was out and safe. Either of us suffering a birth trauma and me not having the anxiety of an uncertain labor made both of us calm and happy, my daughter slept through every single night since she was old/big enough that I didn't have to wake her for feeds. She is now a 7 month old little healthy and super friendly army crawler and I could have not imagine loving someone the way I love her❤️❤️❤️❤️.

I m lucky to have a wonderful pregnancy/labours both times. I also very lucky to have two wonderful girls. Motherhood is hard but worth it. No one knows how to really raise a lil person, but some how our civilization keeps going.
