I do something very similar, I also did this for a friend who ran his off of a 400-watt inverter in his truck and just let his truck idle overnight. 73 thanks for the video!

Nice video. I would be mindful running the generator on eco. Eco is meant to be used out in the field or on construction sites to run power tools. Saves fuel when not cutting that blank of wood, etc... Sensitive equipment such as your house furnace, refrigerator, computers, etc. are not going to like seeing only 45 to 48 hz's with the eco on. Damage will most likely occur to your appliances.

why did you go with a 30 amp inlet if you using a 15 amp gen set? I got tired doing mine and just cut the romex put a male and female plug on one furnance and on the other I put a male and a single outlet box. I will run 100ft 12 guage to the reliance wall pass through kit to the pulsar 400bn. This is the back up to my larger genset back feeding the box scenario. Two is one and one is none.

Licensed electrician, electrical inspector, building inspector here, everything installed in an electrical system must be made for the purpose and that switch is not made to be a transfer switch between a utility system and a generator. Why not replace the disconnect switch for the furnace with a receptacle and install a cord and plug to the furnace, then in an outage run an extension cord from the generator to the furnace and plug the furnace into the cord to supply it with power.
