Let me remind people Trump and REPUBLICANS had the house and senate in 2017 - 2018 they could have pushed thru border funding down party lines , INSTEAD THEY GAVE HUGE TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHY down party lines , and use the border as a WEDGE issue .
-
The short version is ‘I have no control over my conference and if they see me compromising with the Democrats my speakership is toast so it doesn’t matter if the Senate reaches an agreement or not cause I can’t vote for it.’
-
He’s just trying to keep his speakership, that’s it that’s all. MTG already threatened him. He heard it loud and clear.
-
Whenever you hear someone say: "And everybody knows it", IT'S A LIE. If 'everybody' knew it, it wouldn't be up for discussion, just like when someone says "I'm a good person". If you have to say it, it's usually not true.
-
For the Republicans it is not about fixing the problem.
-
The Putin Lovin' Republican Party
-
Why fix the problem if it’s politically inconvenient for them to do so? 😒
-
He absolutely does NOT want to solve the problem he's describing.
-
the only keep talking about executive orders because they dont want to actually do the job of legislating
-
Johnson constantly wants to take the emphasis away from policy making because he knows the House thinks “my way or the highway” on this topic.
-
I like how Johnson negotiates: My Way Or The Highway! and then blames everyone who doesn’t agree with him. Useless Speaker!
-
Johnson = it’s not about politics but we are not willing to compromise and make a deal
-
Everything he says that it’s “not about…..” is exactly what it’s about!!
-
So basically, Mr Johnson will only vote for what HE wants! No compromise, no action!
-
They don't want to fix the issue because then they won't be able to run on it.
-
Maga agrees something must be done on immigration but maga also sprees they won’t do anything to fix it. Because would help Biden. Maga isn’t serious about anything.
-
Why she did not ask why they did absolutely nothing when Trump was in office and they had charge?
-
I thought Mike Johnson said this is not the time for comprehensive immigration reform. On the other hand, if Biden took executive action, the GOP would say it's executive overreach. The Speaker told us the question he asked the president on the phone, but he never told us the president's answer to his question.
-
Kaitlan should go to the border and interview the same people that Johnson is saying that he talked to and do it live. We only know what politicians said on interviews because not one reporter goes there and show us what is really happening. I don't believe anything any of them are saying.
