Watch the trailer now - See it in theatres September 13!

Writer-director Kevin Smith presents his most personal film to date with this coming-of-age story — set in the summer of 1986 — that follows three sixteen-year-old friends who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local cineplex. When one of the guys invites the girl of his dreams to see an R-rated film, all hilarity breaks loose, as a self-important theater manager (Ken Jeong) and teen rivalries interfere with his best-laid plans. Justin Long, Rosario Dawson, Jason Biggs, and more contribute outrageous characters to this poignant comic valentine to moviegoing and the youth of the ’80s.

Attend the World Premiere at the same theater in the movie! ►► the430.movie/

I never knew I needed a Kevin Smith 80s movie until I saw the trailer for the Kevin Smith 80s movie.
  • @Higherbassist
"He climaxed?" I didn't realize I was going to enjoy this as much as I already have. Looking forward to this.

Every Gen-X movie goer just said "YES.... Must See!!" 🤩
  • @jaspdx63
The GenX nostalgia I just felt from your opening parody / homage to Angel was just perfect.
  • Getting real Emo Kev 🖤 vibes from the tape recorder scene 😅
  • Mr. Smith never ceases to amaze me, Still remember my sister getting Clerks 1 on VHS, ever since, watch all of this stuff, work of art and science

0:33 - Uh oh. Dude’s about to say how great his rack system is and that he’s the “king of dark notions”…
  • Can't wait to see this... I'm 4 years younger then Kevin but I remember jumping from screen to screen in my local 2nd run theater in the 1980s... saw SO many movies there. I saw Friday the 13th 4 when I was 10... they didn't care how old you were LOL

Let this be the beginning of The Dark Notions Trilogy. See y'all on Ponder Rock.
  • This is me at 16 in 1986. Kev, you put a great ensemble cast for this. Me and my Gen-X nostalgia will be there.
  • @kellehm1
Not sure if I'm more excited about seeing Jeff Anderson or the fact that listening to past Smodcasts makes this seem like a semi-autobio.
  • This looks fun. I don't understand why ppl be hating on Kev. You don't get all these ppl in your films w/o having talent. Ppl don't line up just because he's a nice guy. Sometimes the subject matter is a little wild, but he knows how to make films look good and he knows how to capture comedy and emotion. Salute!
  • So I was in my 20s running a movie store when clerks came out then when Clerks 2 came out i was in my 30s running a gamestop and me and my best friend would go to the movies every week. Then Clerks 3 comes out and i was almost 50 that friend is gone along with others. But me and my girlfriends watch 4 to 6 movies every two days we have off together and i clearly grew up in this time period. This honestly looks great and all 3 Clerks speak very clearly to me in different decades it's almost like a documentary of my lame ass life. Really looking forward to this and many more decades with Kevin. Guess I need to pull out my Daredevil he wrote ps just picked up Phantoms on 4K 😂 Would love to see Clerks 2 get 4K treatment with Dolby Vision.

Saw that tape recorder and was hoping for that long-awaited Emo Kev flick 😂😂😂
  • @lonelyone
Will you upload your Hall H Comic Con panel?

I'm extremely stoked to see this! As a 90s kid, I always wondered what it was like to be in the 80s era. Kudos to Kevin Smith for making that happen!!
