"We had this joint we passed around and it lit me up, and became my one and only ever vocal contribution to the band." -Tony Iommi
  • Was on a mushroom trip last weekend. Everybody's tough until the record starts repeating and coughing. Got some painting done, smoked a few bongs and chilled with my dog. What a time to be alive thanks sabbath.

This song doesn’t make you feel like a badass, it makes you a badass
  • This is what got me to grow at 15 and at 62 I'm still listening and growing and even have my own strain called sweet leaf
  • The feeling you get from this song can't be described any other way than just saying "hell yeah"
  • When most of us were thirteen or fourteen, we all hung out at this guy’s house who was 21. He would blast Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath constantly. Letting the smoke out the window, black light posters, the works. His mom was always yelling “turn it down!” Ah, the good old days. 😊

If it wasn't for my grandpa showing ne this at 6 months old, i wouldn't be the 12 year old metalhead i am now! Thanks Papa! (He is still alive before you think its that comment)

This is the only song I've ever known to have captured that cough that we all know and love, and it's a one of a kind cough. It's so genius how they've captured that.

This song is the first Sabbath song I ever heard around 1976 or 1977. It's difficult for me to appreciate much metal that is put out these days because virtually none of it sounds anything like this. This isn't a matter of my being nostalgic, but recognizing how good this was. Many people look at these guys as rock music gods, and they , but when I was a teenager in the 1970s that wasn't the case. I was frequently looked down on for liking Sabbath. I really didn't care all that much back then and certainly not now. Funny how things change over time. If you're from a younger generation and enjoy this music then I'm very happy for you. It's become very chique and hip to like Sabbath these days, but it wasn't when I was your age. I count myself fortunate to have seen both the original lineup of Sabbath and Ozzy solo in concert. It was pretty amazing. If some newer and much younger metal band came along that sounded like this I would immediately start listening to them.

Bill Ward tore the SHIT out of those drums in the breakdown.
  • The fools this days will never never ever come close to this level ever.

Geezer Butler's bass is pure butter in this song.
