Brings back a lot of memories from my graduation from MCRD San Diego in '90. I Remember marching across Parade Deck, and when the CG told us that we made it and were now officially US Marines being one of the most important things to happened in my life. I went to boot camp a sniveling little momma's boy, I left as more than just a man. I left as a US Marine.

Graduated from MCRD San Diego in May '72. No female drill instructors. Ultimate indignity. Gee, how I miss the USA.

  • Graduation is only the beginning. marine Combat training, technical training, fleet assignment, recurrent training, professional development, leadership training. I graduated in April 1996 from Parris Island and just about seven months later I was stationed only a few miles away at MCAS Beaufort.
  • We only had one PFC When i graduated in 1966 at P.I. I would have lost count in this group if i had been counting!!! My Corps sure has changed since i was in it 1966-1969!!!-David.
