  • as an Italian kid I must say that this car, especially with our philosophy, was and still is a masterpiece. Yes it really isn't appealing for someone that wants cameras, heated and ventilated seats or a 3090 installed into the infotainment, BUT (as it always happens with alfas) the main objective was to be faster than german cars. We wanted to know if we could still do it, like we did in the DTM entering and destroying the competition. And we did for a brief moment. We will not have another giulia and we probably won't have another fully petrol alfa sadly. That's just an opinion of 21 years old with a fiat panda tho. :)
  • @85gt
The fact so many owners have commented here says all you need to know about this car. Enthusiasts buy them.
  • @Alfa-yk2qh
I own a European mechanical shop, I drive m3s and amgs all the time, after a giulia came in and took it for a drive I went and bought one...love it
  • @DexterBelgium
131000 kms and still smiling in my 2017 manual Giulia Quadrifoglio. No issues of note to mention. There's no car I've ever loved more. And no. You can't have mine 😜
  • US owner here. Great and fair video. Disagree on one point, the Alfa sounds far superior to an F80 M3, I've owned both. We don't have the particulate filter here so that must be the reason for that observation.
  • @v1ktos
Proud owner of a new Giulia Quadrifigolio and it is hands down the best car I've owned/driven. I would recommend it to anyone who loves driving!
  • Qv owner here. Had 3 x M3s in a row before this. M3s feel like practical sports cars..I loved them. The qv feels more like a supercar, with the practicality of a sedan. I love it. Basically I love them both..my M3s were an e46 and 2 e92s though. Hate the F80. I really like the giulia interior..very italian. I particularly like the way the screen is blended into the dash, unlike most German rivals which have the screen stuck on top of the dash like they forgot about it. The giulia has a crazy chassis, lighting fast steering, huge traction and an absolute beast of a motor. Its a car that you really want to drive fast.. Car drives the best in race mode , buy one. You won't be disappointed !

The biggest thing I disagree with here is the interior. In an era where opposing manufacturers are going the route of fake leather, ipads unimaginatively glued on dashboards and didgital dials I actually love (not like, but LOVE) the approach alfa took with this interior. From the sweeping curves of the dash, to the proper leathers, to the proper analog dials and the way the LCD is elegantly hidden behind a glass beauty panel - I think they really put a lot of thought into the interior design, and to my eyes it really shows. By comparison if I look at a C-Class of the same era there's far too much shiny crap to the point that it looks like a pimp-mobile, and too much obsession with LCD screens everhwhere. Likewise the equivalent year 3-series interior just looks awkward, misfit and cheap. The S4/RS4 is the only compeititor that I would say has an interior that is both elegantly designed and brilliantly put together, but somehow to me the Giulia interior still has a little more flair. Also not sure what you mean by the lack of colour options, because I could swear I've seen Giulia QV's with black/tan, and black/red interiors. I've definitely seen it on the Veloce (and it looks stunning) but I'm pretty sure ive seen it on QV's too.
  • QV owner here with W204 & W205 C63 in the garage and also an M2 CS. This is the car I pick the keys up to when the weather here in Victoria Australia is trash and I've had a really gutful day. Driving this car in anger melts away the sadness.
  • @koffein.7
How is it not nice sounding engine? Literally one of the best sounds out there stock
  • I finally purchased a 2017 QV around 2 months ago and I'm still amazed by it, absolutely zero buyers remorse. It's astonishingly quick (brutal in fact) and very scarse (UK), which I like, opposed to M3s, C63s, RS5s, Golf Rs, A45s etc etc. Whenever I park it anywhere I cannot resist a quick look back over my shoulder, which I believe shows I have chosen the right car for me. It is thristy, the brakes do take a little bit of getting used to and you will end up facing the wrong way if you get a little premature with the go pedal leaving a roundabout (especailly in race mode but also very achievable in Normal mode, certainly in the wet :-)
  • I think my 19 Giulia QV sounds great, specially after I made sure the valves stay open all the time. We loved my Giulia QV so much we got the Wife a Stelvio QV. 1 Alfa in the states is rare enough, now we can ride around with 2!
  • @sfletcher83
Had a QV up until March this year, it's a sensational car. Replaced it with an M340i as we wanted to move house and they're 'quite' expensive to finance, with a 20mpg thirst. I'd have one again in a heartbeat; the BMW feels like a clown car around corners in comparison. I also thought it sounded incredible, especially with the AHM exhaust controller!
  • Best car I have ever owned. Has the occasional problem, sure, but is frankly the only car I've owned that can truly say I've fallen in love with. It's attitude, the way it drives, the way it looks----I just love it. I had a CLA 45 AMG before this, and a M3 before that. Both amazing cars. Both had better tech on the inside. The M3 was faster 0-60. The CLA45 AMG's interior was cooler. None of it mattered. There is just something different about this car. I wake up in the morning excited to go to work because I know I'll be driving this car. The Mercedes nor the BMW ever did that for me I promise you that. If you are on the fence because of "reliability" or whatever other problem you heard through sarcastic internet comments, don't listen to them. Watch actual testimonials from people who own the car. Talk to people that own it. I promise you will be hard pressed to find even one person who regrets buying this car. They might have their issues and complaints, but they will have no regrets. You have my word.
  • @mnejmantowicz
As a QV owner and previous BMW owner, this car never leaves me wanting for more. It’s a drivers car, period. Yes, I concur the interior is bit lacking but not overly so. Brake by wire while it sucks a parking lot speeds when moving, is fine. Love mine and plan on keeping it forever.
  • The wheels aren't big enough ? Looking perfect to me..all angles on this car looks awesome almost British touring car thing about it .
  • @memo3872
What an amazing car. A car you can love which is not something you can generally say about a German car, worthy as they may be. It's a shame the Giulia range hasn't sold in greater numbers as even BMW admitted they didn't benchmark it for the new 3 series as the Giulia is too good which speaks volumes.
  • @74amills
Driven a new M4 back to back with my 19' QV and no contest, Alfa all the way.
  • @DSJ91
The infotainment could spontaneously combust on a regular basis and I wouldn't care. The manual book could come in a sandwich bag and I wouldn't care. The interior could rattle and squeek and I wouldn't care. Why wouldn't I care? Just look at it. Look at it. Stunning from every angle.
  • @Acyclic12
2017 owner here, Unbelievable piece of machinery. First sports sedan ever. Love it.
